This series is equally beautiful and heartbreaking!
In 1964, a British-based photographer Ken Griffiths created a year-long project featuring monthly snapshots of an elderly married couple - Mr and Mrs Sweetman - posing in the front yard of their East Sussex home in England. The original idea was to showcase their life throughout changing seasons, but unexpectedly the series concluded with the beloved wife's heartbreaking passing, as evident in the last image. This sad turn of events shifted the mood of the series, making it profound - where love and loss intertwine in the cruelest of ways...
P.S: Remember this couple?
P.P.S: On love...

Beautiful Diane. Jill
So sad that the last picture is of the gentleman by himself. He did end up with a beautiful series and reminder of him and his wife. Thanks for sharing.
Jill, glad you like it.
Marieken, indeed!
