Burning candles, whatever the season, is one of my favourite evening rituals. For me, their calming honey scent creates the most tranquilizing mood in our flat. Years ago I used to buy all types of candles but ever since I read Jodi's advice, I only use pure beeswax.
Why, you ask? Well, they are a natural air purifier and help eliminate odour, dust, pollen, mildew and mould from your home. Basically they are healthy for you and your environment, while other candles are not.
Lately, I just buy a bunch of 100% beeswax sheets and a hemp wick to roll them myself, but if you'd rather just get them ready-made, here are a few types that I love: from Shop Terrain, OVO, The Future Kept, Farmer's Daughter Gifts, Y For You and Kaufmann Mercantile.
P.S: How to make them two ways yourself.
P.P.S: Did you know you can also make beeswax birthday candles?
