Autumn Uniform: Wrap Skirt

Do  you own a wrap skirt?

Last spring I got one, not knowing if I'd ever wear it regularly. Fast forward to today, and this impulse-buy become one of the favourite pieces I own. The unusual shape and the saucy slip works in your advantage by adding some texture and making your simple outfit look stylish and incredibly cool - whatever the occasion!

What do you think: thumbs up or down?

P.S: Also, don't miss this awesome fall trend...

Street Vendors in Vietnam (From Above)

Enticed by the art that Vietnamese female vendors create with their immaculately stacked bikes, Loes Heerink spent months standing on various bridges in Hanoi waiting for them to pass by.

She wanted to snap photos of those extremely hardworking women to show the world that there is beauty in everything, as long as you stop and look around.

Those ladies wake up at 4 am every single morning and fill up their bikes with as much produce as they physically can handle. Although they probably don’t realize it, but their hard work makes the city’s streets beautifully colorful and cheery every day of the week.

Isn't that special?

Halloween Costume: Frida

If  Halloween is not totally your thing, but your office has a tradition to throw a costume party to celebrate, go with this beautifully understated Frida Kahlo look. Last week my friend Sofia tested it during an early work Halloween shebang and she said it was a huge hit with very little effort. Here is an excellent how-to video if you're feeling it...

Triple Trouble

How sweet are those photos?

Meet Dominique Davis and her two totally adorable daughters: 10-year-old Amelia and Penny, who is just 3. Those sweet ladies have a weekly tradition of dressing up in a similar outfit or braiding their hair in identical braids, just so they can snap a photo to document their little bond. The photos perfectly demonstrate that despite the common theme and similar style, their unique personalities still shine through.

I love this idea, don't you?

P.S: A boy with a camera...
P.P.S: And this sweet little story.

Mothers of the Sea

Holy Moly, meet the Haenyo - South Korea’s last generation of fearless 'sea women' divers. Every single one of those 70+ year-old ladies swim to depths of 65ft to the ocean floor where they collect sea abalones, urchins, sea cucumbers and squid. Furthermore, none of them use oxygen tanks as they are known to hold their breath for over two minutes at a time, while diving in the freezing cold waters of the Korea Strait. Impressive, isn't it?

Mijoo Kim thought so too, so earlier this year, she flew in to visit them and documented a day of their work. I can't imagine a better way to show how those strong women carry on a Korean legacy, as the last followers of this time-old tradition.

P.S: Flower man and this.
P.P.S: We're lucky!
