What do you eat for breakfast nowadays? I keep on going back and forth between a few different things like overnight oats with peanut butter or homemade jam, this granola, chia puddings topped with fruits and my latest favourite, chia cooked oatmeal that Balazs has been making for us this summer.
It has everything your body needs to get a head start and maintain your energy throughout. It's light, delicious and very very healthy.
Here is the recipe for a single serving:
Place in a small saucepan 3 tablespoons of oats and enough water to cover it. Start cooking it, while constantly stirring. Once it becomes gooey, add a bit more water, then continue cooking and stirring - repeat this for a couple more times until you're satisfied that your oats are nice and soft. Now add a bit of milk and 1 tsp of chia seeds to the mix and continue cooking on low fire. Finally, add half of a mashed banana, a dash of cinnamon and 1 tbsp of maple syrup. Mix well, cook for another couple of minutes, then remove from the stove and leave covered for 5-10 minutes. Before eating, mix in a cup of natural yogurt. Top it off with nuts or fruits and enjoy! Ta-dah:)
Will you try it?
P.S: Or maybe you prefer something on a sweeter side like this breakfast bar?
P.P.S: Breakfast pizza?
