Lick That Nose.

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Aww, I’m on that stage right now that when I see a dog on a street I want to take it home. I miss having a dog and this rather hilarious and adorable series of puppies attempting to lick a bit of organic peanut butter off their nose makes my knees weak. It’s the newest project by Ty Forest that was just recently turned into a book. Aren’t they adorable?

Do you have a pet? How old is she or he? I’d love to know:)

P.S: It reminds me of this little instagram project.
P.P.S: And here is something for cat ladies.

Giggle, how about a bit of cheekiness this Tuesday?

There is a girl living on our block that I often spot on my way to swimming and the reason she sticks out of the crowd is because of her funky t-shirt choices - especially her boob appreciation top. Those tees have been circulating the net for the past two years...

Anyhow, each time I bump into her, no matter how miserable or tired I am, or just simply not in the mood, I always crack a smile looking at her tata tee. So, in the spirit of all things cheeky, here are a few lady-parts items that I wish I was brave enough to own:)

1. t-shirt - 2. print - 3. makeup bag - 4. bathing suit pot - 5. rug - 6. tote bag.

P.S: Cactastic!
P.P.S: Feeling fruity?

Lately I can’t get enough of all things flowers! I might be high on spring or something, but their cheeriness and freshness makes my heart skip a beat. So let's start this short week with a few lush blooms snapped by the brilliant Aiala Hernando. This girl has an eye for beauty and her images are often reminiscent of Dutch or Baroque paintings in their drama and tonal range, evidence of her love for art. Ah, I'm smitten. You?

P.S: Flowers of Visalia and this flowers tip.
P.P.S: Plus, girls with flowers...

Salt Cured Egg Yolks

Wednesday, May 25, 2016

If you love eggs, here is something that will rock your world! I'm one of those people who could eat eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner - in all shapes and forms. They are easy to make, very nutritious and incredibly satisfying too.

Anyway, a few weeks ago Balazs and I went out for dinner and I had pasta with grated salt cured egg yolk that elevated a rather simple dish to an incredible level of richness. So, ever since that night I’ve been totally intrigued by those little suckers.

Supposedly besides adding a great texture to different dishes like avocado toasts, salads, pastas or fried rice, they are actually very easy to make at home too. There are a few different techniques, from basic to a bit more time taking, but regardless of the way, the end result will blow your socks off!

Skirt Crush

Uh-oh, till last night the desire to wear a metallic gold skirt have never crossed my mind, but then around midnight I spotted Darja’s recent go-to uniform and here we are! Oh boy, this must be one of the most lust-worthy looks I’ve seen in a while - a daring yet feminine gold pleated midi skirt worn with a cool leather jacket, tomboyish loafers and a simple white tee to perfection!

But the question is, would you be brave enough to sport it?

P.S: When I grow up...
P.P.S: Turn your back on me.

Food Stamps

Ingenious! Lisa Sorgini is a brilliant Australian photographer, who cleverly created this rather unique series of somewhat accidental collages featuring old National Geographic magazines and food from her own kitchen. I love the cheeky undertone, the playful vibe and the implied meaning of every single of those pairings.

Which one is your favourite?

P.S: Pop!
P.P.S: Plus, a bit of this, a dash of that and a whole lot of those.

Rose petal & cardamom kulfi

Since the weather has been pretty great lately (with the exception of this morning's rain), I’ve been making all sorts of popsicles and frozen goodies to indulge in. One of my favourites is Reza Mahammad’s rose petal and cardamom kulfi aka traditional Indian ice cream that does not contain any eggs. Have you tried it?

It’s one of the creamiest and richest mixes I’ve ever made and probably my favourite as well - especially when you add that extra crunchy texture of crushed pistachios on top. Here is the recipe if you're planning a dessert for this upcoming Holiday weekend. It's easy and delicious, while looking incredibly impressive too!

P.S: The perfect sore throat popsicle.
P.P.S: Plus, a few more java-licious popsicles.

Driving through Iceland

Iceland is one of the top spots on my travel wish list and photos like this fuel the desire to visit it even more so!

About 18 months ago, Michalina Okreglicka and her husband packed up their entire life and moved to Iceland. Instead of taking a plane, they filled up their trusty car and hit the road hoping for a little adventure. While driving, Michalina realized how uniquely beautiful, calming, almost therapeutic, and ever changing the Icelandic landscape is, so she started to capture it for memory, which quickly became her favourite way to take photos.

Blimey, just looking at those images makes me feel like I’m in that car with her, taking in that raw beauty, one turn at a time.

P.S: Remember this?
P.P.S: Plus the most mesmerizing ice cave, ever!

What lipstick have you been loving lately? The other day I spotted Yossy wearing the beautifully rich mahogany and red mix from Bite Beauty called whiskey and I got pretty smitten by the hue! It's a shade that, till now, I wasn't brave enough to wear but since it looks so fresh and well, wearable, I can't wait to try it myself. Thoughts?

P.S: How to make your lipstick long wearing.
P.P.S: And the 'it' wineproof lippy :)
