Halloween is a few short days away and if you're like me, you have probably just made the call on what to wear. Am I right? So after a few bad ideas, Balazs and I are going as Jerry and Elaine. So in case you're short on time, but you have a foxy Halloween party to attend on Saturday night, here are 4 bulletproof ideas that every Seinfeld fan will be happy to embrace.

Elaine Benes: floral dress or this one - hoops - watch - lipstick - eyeglasses - backpack - lobster scented perfume - brogues - white socks

Cosmo Kramer: lobster shirt - grey suit pants - Derby shoes - white socks - hair wig - charm necklace - pipe

Jerry Seinfeld: puffy-shirt - black jeans - brown shoes - belt

George Costanza: plaid shirt - vintage khaki pants - belt - brown shoes - eyeglasses - a fat wallet - wig

NYC's Halloween Dog Parade

Be still my heart! Last Saturday East Village got a dose of Halloween puppy-cuteness as the 25th annual halloween dog parade took place in NYC’s Tompkins Square Park. The whole place was filled with doggy-Flintstones, roaring lions, adorable crabs, an awesome Spiderman (or two) and even a French gent. Just looking at those photos makes me think I need to step up my Halloween costume game this year.

 Aren’t they adorable?

P.S: Let's not forget to include Maddie too :)
P.P.S: Plus, tons more of adorable pets.

Sweater Weather

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Do you wear sweaters? People in general have a hate/love relationship with knits. Some love them and treat them like a security blanket during colder seasons, while others find them restrictive and unflattering. Years ago my mom told me that the only way a sweater can look great is if it’s a dash too big. So ever since then I’ve been buying my sweaters a size or two bigger. This way you are getting that slouchy, chunky, loose feel we are all after.

So below are a few of my absolute favourites. Which one trickles your fancy?

1. Estonian Jacquard neat sweater - 2. Jacquard-knit sweater - 3. babaĆ  sweater - 4. waffle knit cardigan - 5. short sleeve jumper  - 6. Shetland stripe sweater -7. chunky wool cardigan.

P.S: Sassy little autumn style tweak.
P.P.S: Go-to sweater weather uniform.

The Art of Plating

Do you know that expression eat with your eyes? Well, till now I always thought it was just a saying, but according to a study from the Crossmodal Research Laboratory at the University of Oxford, we actually do eat with our eyes.

The study proved that people in general enjoy and are drawn towards meals that look pretty and are presented in an artful form. It’s not a surprise that in today’s world visually focused food is a preference, especially when the food itself looks like those dishes above. Every single one of them is an actual meal available at some of the world’s top restaurants.

My goodness, aren’t they pretty? And who said chefs are not artists?

P.S: Veggie art and the French cuisse.
P.P.S: The art of food grouping.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Ha, Mode has done it again! This time they are taking us on a 100-year journey of the best Halloween costumes in just 3 minutes. So if you are not sure what to wear next weekend, this little video might just come in handy. My favourite is the 1945 devil, and the 1965 cat is so sassy, isn’t it?

Which one do you like most?

P.S: 100 years of wedding dresses and fashion.

A low, messy side knot

Have you spotted J.Crew’s newest beauty notes? I’m feeling totally giddy over their low and messy side knot that seems rather easy to achieve with a bit of practice. Ah, just imagine wearing it with a turtleneck and cigarette pants to work or something comfy like chambray shirt and jeans to lunch with a friend. Can’t wait to try it myself. You? (Here is the full how-to)

P.S: And half-up top knot.
P.P.S: Also, the ultimate superfood face mask.

The Great Divide

How was everyone’s weekend? Good, I hope :) So let’s start this rather chilly Tuesday with a bit of NYC dreaming. Recently National Geographic editors chose the image above as their absolute favourite that week.

Kathleen Dolmatch is the genius photographer who brilliantly captured the beauty of the two worlds as they exist side by side: The City vs Central Park. Beauty at its best, wouldn't you agree?

Here are a few more mesmerizing takes on this amazing slice of heaven:
