Be still my heart! Whenever I think of newborn babies, I always picture them all delicate and fragile. So when I spotted this moving series of premature children and what they have become, I literally teared up. Red Méthot photographed a group of kiddos who were born earlier than expected, holding a picture taken at the time of their birth. To me, this simple yet moving idea symbolizes perseverance against all odds. Incredible, isn’t it?
P.S: Baby faces.
P.P.S: One day young.

The framed images are heartbreaking yet the series is a testament to how strong humans are.
Anonymous, oh yes!
I had two preemies, a 32 weeker and a 33 weeker. Both are amazing young men now. One of my friends gave birth within months of me and she admitted later that she wasn't sure if my son would survive. The thought had never entered my mind. Her son was over ten pounds and my son was barely 4 pounds.
It's beautiful and touching!
