Fancy making sure that the next plant you buy will last you for a long time? Just swap from regular watering to ice cube watering. It's that simple!
I started doing it about 3 weeks ago, after I spotted Elise's tip and weirdly our plants and herbs are even happier - especially the orchid and our new hanging spider plant. The awesome part about ice cubes it that the ice melts slowly, giving the plant and dirt time to properly absorb the water without overwatering it. Nowadays, I just drop one or two bigger ice cubes every 4-6 days to each plant and I am set. Try it, it will make all the difference. xo
P.S: And here is one for fresh-cut flowers.
P.P.S: Plus, my flower epiphany.

Jill :)
Emily, glad you like it:)
I've been doing this with my baby orchids since a friend told me this tip! Isn't it handy? And it's so simple! Pop, pop and you're done!
Definitely will try this, I recently managed to kill my succulent (yes, it can be done...), and I am planning on buying a new victim :-)
Good tip!
This is sooooo smart! I always have a harder time gauging how much to water my indoor plants vs. my outdoor garden. xo, Katie
This is how I water my orchids, but I never thought to do it with all my plants!
Chic on the Cheap
Totally amazing, oliviajamie:) I love it so much!
Marieken, it will work great for sure. Good luck, sweetie
Glad you like it, Jill:)
Katie :)
Ha!! I did the same.. too embarrassed to say I killed a succulent lol.. I'll be doing the exact same and doing this trick
I have.been doing this for a while and all my orchids are growing so much is crazy. I finally found a trick to have new leaves on my orchids and I LOVE IT. Believe me it works.
I heard that too cold and too hot water can damage the roots of plants so if we use this concept, there is any possibility of damage ..?
It's the best tip to KILL your orchid slowly and painfully.

I can't believe people still share this bullshit online. Shame.
