Crikey, fancy a brilliant solution to all the unfinished cheese bits you have laying around your fridge? Make fromage font aka fragrant cheese dip spread with a hint of wine, garlic, chives and cream cheese. We made it last night using a few of our soft stinky cheese leftovers and some aged Gouda, and I decided that leaving bits and bobs of cheese behind will become a thing in our home, so we have fromage fort to look forward to every couple of weeks. (Here is the recipe).
What cheeses do you like best? Lately I am crazy for all kinds of soft goat cheeses. I can’t get enough of them and Manchego is my other favourite. Yours? xo
P.S: Goat cheese grape balls.
P.P.S: Plus, baked Brie bites.

I'm such cheese person and sometime I daydream about eating brie and bread every single day for a week. I'm saving this for later.
Unfinished cheese bits - pffft, not ever happening in my 'fridge. I'd still love to make this with fresh cheese - it sounds marvelous.
Oh goat cheese is my current favourite as well. Living in Switzerland we are exposed to a lot of cheese (from age fondue and raclette are my go to meals in winter). I like the hard cheeses like ementaler, gruyere, appenzeller, but also the soft ones. I need to try the fromage font recipe.
Yum!!! What a simple and tasty idea:) Hope your week is off to a good start! xox.
Mmmmmmm... CHEEEEESE...
That looks heavenly! My favourite cheeses are soft goat's cheese too (especially drizzled with some honey) and cheddar with stilton in it. Oh, and I love recipes that include ricotta :-)
ok seriously, why the hell didn't I think of that? I always have cheese bits in the fridge! and reading Marieken's comment above is making me drool......
Yum, Anonymous! Brie and bread = the perfect combo:)
Joyti :) Love your comment.
I love that you live in Switzerland, Carried Away:) Btw: I love gruyere's nutty, slightly sweet flavour:) YUM!

Mmmm, cheese! My favourite is smoked anything. There's a bavarian one in particular that I love. I am also a big fan of creamy cheeses like brie and Camembert.
Mmmm! This sounds so good! I do love a good cheddar and gruyere is one of my favorites. I love a soft goats cheese too. xo, Katie
is there anything better than cheese? i could eat it every single day!
Chic on the Cheap
Oh boy, Steph....I love bavarian smoked cheese. I had one not long ago on a dinner party. I think, it was called rauchkase. Delicious!
