Do you use natural remedies at your home? Just before Christmas Balazs started to develop a sore throat and since we were pretty busy with no time to really relax, I remembered Erin’s natural cold remedy of garlic honey. Have you tried it before? Since we already had all the ingredients at home I made it the same night and after two days Balazs started to eat it. At first he had a spoonful of honey 3 times a day and when he started to feel better, he reduced it to just one serving a day. It worked beautifully and by the New Year’s he felt great again! Don't worry about the garlic smell, as honey mellows the strong garlic taste, making it very enjoyable, actually. Fancy trying it yourself? Here is the full recipe. xo
P.S: Remember this awesome eucalyptus steam shower trick?
P.P.S: Lemon + hot water.

I'm bookmarking it. It will come in handy this winter.
I only know Onion Honey but I don´t like the taste of it. I recently came across a local farmer who produces a throat mixture based on honey with thyme, cinnamon, ginger and chili. It´s divine and got me through my cold last week!
Great to know, because Bart always prepares onion+garlic+milk ... the smell kills me everytime ... But we have some honey at home, so we'll try your recipe.
I've tried this honey garlic remedy before! If you add lemon to it, it's even more of a miracle worker!

love it! I ALWAYS do them separate, but never together! Happy New Year :) xo

That mixture sounds awesome, Martie.
Magdalena WierzaĆska, it's really great and onion+garlic+milk mix sounds really interesting. Do you boil it together?
What a great idea, Angie! Thanks for that!
Annie, Happy New Year, love!
Fantastic idea! How does it taste?!
Katie, it tastes pretty ok. You can hardly taste the garlic.
