Crikey, how cool is Amsterdam? Last year, due to
the freezing weather in Europe, huge parts of Amsterdam’s canal system were frozen solid. So the awesome residents took to the frozen canal to enjoy a day of ice-skating,
hockey and all out fun! Eek, some even skated all the way to work.
How fun is
that? Have you ever been to Amsterdam?
xo
I visited Amsterdam briefly to audition for a ballet company there. It was February and absolutely freeZing!! But so beautiful.... Colorful and chalk full of European Charm... In fact, that's where I had my first Mint Tea which I'll never forget :)

I went to Amsterdam last January and it was beyond freezing cold, about -11..but it wasn't so cold that the canals froze! Looks so fun! x
I live in Amsterdam and this is not true! It has been cold last week, but there is no ice! These pics are from last year!
Aww that looks like so much fun! I was only ever to Amsterdam in the summer, but I definitely want to head out there in the winter :)

So beautiful!!!
Vera, thanks for that. I just changed it in the post.
Right, Jen? The city looks so romantic, doesn't it? Just imagine having a winter picnic after hours of ice skating - le sigh!
wow! great! I want to be there!
That is a beautiful scene! I lived in Ottawa and often skated on the canal ... but not as many canals as Amsterdam.
I haven't ice skated in years. It would be so fun!
