Wouldn’t you love to open your front door each morning to
this view? On Saturday a brilliant artist,
Gabriel Dawe opened his newest
thread installation in this 19th century historical villa located in
Como, Italy.
He created two thread structures streamed across an upper and lower balcony as
he wants the public to experience his creation from different angles or at
different times of the day. He also pointed out that the best time to enjoy his
piece is during the morning as the direct sunshine emphasizes the layering of
the threads in very interesting and mesmerizing ways. I’d love to spend a quiet
morning wandering about this squeaking staircase and enjoy this piece in person.
How about you? Isn’t it beautiful? xo
P.S: It reminds me a bit of
those floating sculptures.
P.P.S: And a few other amazing
gems.
(Thanks,
Monica)
