Speaking of taming busyness, each time I feel like taking a breather, I spend those few stolen moments browsing through rental listings, especially in England. I love daydreaming about future trips or renting a farm house for a month during the British Autumn. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Last night I stumbled upon this glorious rental! The Wealden Farmhouse is located in the Walnut Farm in East Sussex (it's a very famous property in the UK and now it's mainly used by huge magazines for photoshoots). I can’t get it out of my head as it has the most charming English country feel to it.

P.S: Remember this Catskill gem?
P.P.S: Glass room.

You've stolen my heart with this post. I have always wanted to rent a cottage in the English Countryside and relax for a month. Everything here would be perfect.
I live in a farm type home so I'd rather a beach cottage rental for at least a month....maybe more. However this one looks wonderfully relaxing.
We used to go to my grand's cottage, oh the beautiful English countryside. The photos are gorgeous! I can always use a nice holiday! :)
Such a lovely post. I stay in hotels, but you are making me think about other options now
What an amazing place! We always daydream about spending a year or two living in England.
oh my goodness these photos are BEAUTIFUL!
I want to live there : )
it's divine! yes, I would stay there in an instant. now to plan that trip to england...
What a dream!!! My mom, sister and I have been talking about something like this for ages..... perfect find!
I miss having proper seasons! We live in Brazil where it is just hot or hotter. Sounds nice, but I miss the feel of Fall: crisp, earthy, cozy. These pics make me want to drink apple cider and wear a cardigan! Thanks for these...
Awww..Tiffany! You made my day with this comment:)
How cool that you live in a farm house:) Must be magical.
What a sweet memory, FT and The Resistant Hermit, renting is so much more fun. You can really experience better the vibe of the city or the town you are staying in. I totally recommend it!
Hannah, England is so lovely:)
Bron, take me with you:) And tutusandtea, you three would love this place for sure. What a sweet idea to take a trip with your mom and your sister:) LOVE
Skedian, my pleasure:) Now I am craving some apple cider too!
sooo dreamy! :)
This looks like the perfect place to relax!
p.s. speaking of relaxing, diana, i read your post about caring for yourself and thought, "she's describing ME!" I've gone full-time with my blog this fall and am constantly trying to stay on top of things -- good luck!
Melissa, so happy that you liked the post and congrats on going full-time!
Yes Diana, it has its good...
My husband is Indian and it's a small reservation...they farm sugarcane...chickens, pigs, deer... we have the swing...mine is modern...I love to go upstairs, the view from upabove is the best! But, I'm all about the beach, ha ha
I'll try to post on my site the barn...which needs to be cleaned out inside. It's very very old.
Lena, your view sounds so lovely:)
Yes Diana because of you, my view in my head needed to change. Sometimes we take what we have for granted. They are planting sugarcane right now, and I would miss all the tractors and wagons, and chickens, etc. sometimes we need to stop desiring some other location and see again what is already very good. Thank you my dearest. You make me appreciate more. :)
I shall look through the lens with a zoomed in view, instead of a wide angle.
I live on the doorstep of Hadrians Wall, in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I have these things around me all day and it's easy to forget how beautiful my part of the world is! My MIL has bought a house in the sleepy village of Horsely, a few miles outside of the city. The views from each window are beautiful and I could stay there all day.
Unfortunately I haven't visited many places in the UK. I Have rented a holiday cottage in Whitby (Dracula country) which was really nice, I have family that I stay with just outside of Penrith in the Lake District and my FIL used to own the Haweswater Hotel, which is spectacularly secluded. Christmas would see us rent a huge cottage for 16 people. It was situated just across the road from the castle which on any day is breath taking nevermind on a snowy December night!
It's very difficult to get anywhere in the UK as when holidays come around I need some sun and warm beach fun, and that's why the south of Spain is so popular with us Brits. But I would really like to head down to Dorset and the Jurassic Coast to go fossil collecting and wild swimming especially at Durdle Door. Here are some links to Guardian articles on wild swimming and the British countryside. http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2008/may/24/healthandwellbeing.sportandleisure

Yasmin, I love your comment and renting a cottage for Christmas sounds totally dreamy. Thank you for the links. I am going to check them out right away:) Have a great day. xoxo
