Jazz Hands

Ready to get your groove on this morning? This little teaser will make you want to dance. It's a fantastic 100 years celebration of East London fashion, dance and music in anticipation of the grand opening of the Westfield Stratford City on September 13th. The creators had their hands full with this project as it involved four days of shooting and a whopping sixty different costumes. Genius! Darlings, do you like to dance? xo

P.S: Stay tuned for giveaway Wednesday!

Tea Time!

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Have you tasted Bellocq teas before? My mom finds them irresistable in her true British fashion and I've always wanted to taste them - even if just for their awesome names. So the other day I read Andrea's article about a few of her favourite flavours and now I'm craving a cuppa of cinnamon-chocolate Little Dickens or a brew of the Hindu Holiday full of jasmine and marigold petals. Don't they sound beautifully delicious? My dears, do you drink tea? What's your favourite type: black, herbal, green, white? xo

P.S: Dive into your tea!

Breathing Space

Darlings, speaking of mysterious fogs and beautiful views, how would you fancy spending a day on the breathtaking Faroe Islands? We could hike up to the top of the mountain, have a fresh fish picnic on the green grass and take endless deep breaths of the crispy fresh Atlantic air. Are you in? xo

End of Summer Girl Crush

This cutie works the relaxed yet elegant look to perfection. I would never think of pairing up an orange dress with gold accessories including the shoes but it totally works, doesn't it? I'm also smitten with her hair and I'll try my best to style mine like that for autumn:) My darlings, isn't she lovely? xo

Cool Dog

Monday, August 29, 2011

Do you remember this rascal? Since I spotted him a few months ago I can't get enough of this adorable face. I follow his little mischieves weekly despite not understanding a single word of Japanese. So to brighten your Monday afternoon, here are a few of his newest adventures. Isn't he cool? Btw: The pup and the little boy look like such great play-buddies, don't they? Sweets, did you have a pet growing up? Do you have one right now? xo

P.S: Two of mine:)

Magical Golden Gate Bridge Elopement

Sigh...For their special day Julie and Philipp opted for a very private elopement with a fantastic view. The ceremony took place on the Golden Gate Bridge and in true San Francisco fashion, the day couldn't be complete without the mysterious fog. Don't they look happy and totally in love?

Darlings, what's your dream wedding: a traditional style, a City Hall ceremony or an elopement? Which did you go with on your special day? xo

Juice It Up!

I remember as a child dreading homemade juices of any kind. Especially those that included carrot or spinach for that matter. Luckily, those days are behind me. (Well, we all grow out of that silliness, don't we?). Anyway, last week Hollie made this super healthy carrot-green apple juice  with a twist. She swears by adding a bit of ginger to bring out the perfect balance of "spiciness and freshness" to the mix. I would never have thought of that - brilliant! Lovelies, doesn’t that sound refreshing? Do you make juices at home or is it just too much fuss? What's your favourite combo? xo

P.S: Hope everyone was safe and sound this past weekend.

Washed Up

Wow! A New York-based artist Alejandro Durán has an ongoing project called Washed Up where he creates colour-based, site-specific sculptures to address the issue of plastic pollution making its way from all across the ocean onto the shores of Sian Ka’an, Mexico. Over the course of the project, Alejandro identified rubbish from a whopping 42 nations on six continents. How incredible is that? The project sends out such an important message and raises awareness about the global problem we all have to face. It also encourages us to change our mentality regarding consumption and waste.

Sweets, what do you think about this? Do you recycle in your home? Would you like to? xo
