Yesterday Mandy posted those photos of people in their workspaces. I kept going back and I realized that no matter who we are as individuals or what kind of working environment we have, we all aim for one thing: creative fulfilment - whatever that might mean for each of us. It's interesting to see that all these people are almost in a meditative state while working. I never believe when Balazs tells me that as soon as I sit down in my little corner, I'm gone. I don't hear a thing, no the phone nor the door bell...wierd isn't it?
Darlings, do you work in an office, a studio, your home or maybe you are always on the go? What do you surround yourself with while working? Candles, flowers, photos, inspiration boards, notes or maybe you like your space to be empty? Do you switch off from the world as soon as you're at your workspace? xo
P.S: I spend my morning getting lost in this workspaces tumblr!

That is so like my Balazs, Heba. He loves having telly on in the background while working.
Lovely photographs.
I like to have at least one plant nearby, at the moment it is an aloe vera and an orchid. I prefer a view so I have my desk facing a window so I can daydream. And I like lots of post-it notes around me.
I love this post- and its so true, I am exactly the same when I'm working away on something I love- usually tucked up in bed, with candles lighting and my notebook to jot things down on (I still like to write on paper)!
Nice post and pictures. I relate to the 4th picture the most although I wish I was more like #3. Some natural light and a clear-ish table. I usually have a small pile of sticky notes or index cards near by, with phone numbers scribbled on them.
I work in pink and chaos!
Love the photo of the woman working on her patio. I work from home and I love my home office :-)
What wonderful work places!!
I work in our loft, slash guest room. It has gorgeous light and ceiling windows so I can look up at the clouds.
I have lots of photos and little nick nacks covering my walls on shelves and such. I love my scrapbooking room/ home office and should really use it more often! :) Hope you have a lovely day!
oh, that tumblr is awesome! amazing variety of workspaces! i am okay with working in the middle of the mess, but i couldn't work without my computer near me. it's like my personal (parallel) world, which contains all the things i need.
Now I don't feel so bad about my work space. If I had to show it to you, you wouldn't believe it.
Kristin, loft and ceiling windows sound fantastic!
as long as i am near a window, the space is perfect. i don't like to have too much clutter around or i get distracted. but definitely some books for inspiration. :)
Allie, I love that patio photo too and how fun that the girl has a pumpkin on the chair next to her...hahah
Totally agree! Natural light is a must for me too:)
I just LOVE this idea!! I'm not sure why, but you're right-- this view into a creative place with all the different characters shining out from the spaces... It's so intriguing. I'm going to see more workspaces on tumblr.
One day, I might have to include some of these photos on a post on my blog... just cuz they're so cool! Would you mind?

Honestly, most of the time, I work in the left-hand nook of my living room couch. My desk is practically untouched!
I work from home so I love this! But that second to last photo is a bit stressful. I have to have a clean desk and organized work space.
i've been working in my bosses dining room. we turn on lights, open the doors, and set to work on computers while simultaneously shouting back and forth hahah hey it works!

Mon. - Fri. I'm in my office at the county courthouse. I work anywhere from 4- 12 hours a week at my local library. When I'm working on my jewelry, I'm usually in the living room watching TV. Both my work and my workspaces are quite varied. :-)
I don't mind at all, LCR. Go ahead:)
Love these images and love how they're all hunched over deep in the process! I usually take the laptop onto the couch or bed and tune out as well.

I'm going to school and "work" in the living room but the pics are great
I really just need the right lighting in a workspace - I can be totally flexible about everything else but the lighting is key!

every single one of these photos are so inspiring! love 'em!
These are so fun! I work remotely, in coffee shops. Try to change it up, but I have my favorites! :)
My favourite is no. 2:)
oh yes, they really look like they are in the zone!
I do have a studio and I just wrote down how I felt sitting there the other day.
I feel I am in a land of make believe and fairy tales when I am in there creating away.
I will be posting soon the whole story I wrote while in my studio...
Amy
I can't wait to read that story, Amy:)
I'm in an office now,but CANNOT wait to have a workspace at home.. I'll definitely have an inspiration board, fresh flowers and candles around :)
Image #3 and #5 are just too cool..
i work in an open plan office which has its perks as it allows for conferring and is quite social, which always perks up a dull day! i don't have a lot on my desk, but i do have my own pretty little desk calendar and a brightly colored mug, other than that it is all work files! it is perfect for the work that i do, which isn't very creative, but requires a lot of careful thought!
x.
If you count my couch, then yes, I have a home office.
I do have a home office/guest room and am in the process of redecorating it. I want it to be more calming...someday it will evoke that feeling
i'm always fascinated by where people work, especially where bloggers write from! i work nights in a restaurant, but i do my best writing in public places, like my laundromat or local coffee shop.
I like the second photo and sometimes, I had a workspace like it, but really I work like the third picture. I honestly have issues with my posture because of it.

I find workspaces so interesting. Thanks for sharing Diana, I'm off to look at more photos at the link you provided :)
The third one looks ridiculously like the way I work! I study art at university and when I work in the evenings, I just spread everything out on the floor and sit working in my pjs! x
Polly, that is exactly like one of my friends. Her whole living room floor is full of art pieces in making. So great!
these are very cool...mine do not look as fun as these, it's just my desk, pencils, random notes and some pics :)
One day I wish to have my very own studio. One day....
Melanie's Randomness
beautiful! i love these spaces!
I love seeing other peoples workspaces.
I work in an office. I love the #2 picture! It's so awesome!
