My jaw dropped when I saw this little rock castle this morning. I would love to spend my summer swimming, jumping off rocks to the ocean - or just reign as the queen of my castle:). I bet the climb is worth the view as well. Can you imagine? Is it real or it's just a fairy tale? Any ideas where it might be located? xo

I guess it is not real...
reminds me of a drippy drop sand castle!!
I saw this rock in southern thailand (I believe) - however, there was no little castle on it :)
but it would be an amazing place, right??? :)
Tee hee.
All you need to complete the picture are some of Derek Sullivan's green narwhal's from your sidebar!
Happy day!

Esther.
Woah! very cool!
OH MY GOLLY! Imagine actually being there!? How nuts!
Although it would be nice to have ones own castle, I have a fear of heights and falling. And my luck the castle would fall to the ground!
My husband would be there in a heartbeat though!

It would be so awesome if this were real, but it's fun to look at either way!

Thanks, Kristina. Going to google it right now! You are so sweet!
Awesome. It cannot be real though?
I can't stop looking at it!! Super cool. Real or not (my guess is not) it's a great visual.
Amazing! But too good to be true if you ask me ;)
I've seen this picture before, and everytime I love it!
though i love the image, it's completely photoshopped. the angle of the perspective on the castle is totally wrong within the context of the entire photo. at this angle, we shouldn't be able to see the roof of the castle.
i wish it was real. =(
Unfortunately it is not real. The castle is 'Schloss Lichtenstein' that is situated close to Stuttgart.
The rock in question is called Ko Phing Kan and is in Southern thailand, the castle is looks like a castle call schloss lichtenstien but i can't be sure on that, either way its amazing how a picture can spark the imagination of a lot of people, kind cool
Anonymous is correct, the rock is certainly Ko Phing Kan in Southern Thailand, and the castle is DEFINITELY Schloss Lichtenstein. Compare this picture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Schloss_Lichtenstein_04-2010.jpg with the one you have. They are certainly the same. Sorry. :( Schloss Lichtenstein still looks very fairytale like! You should visit it!
Thank you, Anonymous for the link:)
My husband, Jan Oliehoek, is a artist and he is great in photo manipulation. So, mystery solved... You can see his work in this video:
