Speaking of French goodness, how tempting is this chocolate French toast? Creamy chocolate or nutella spread, bit of vanilla and maple syrup soaked into each bread layer! Scrumptious "pick me up" after a bad day! Just imagine the sugar rush:) I can almost taste it. Yum! xo
P.S: You know what they say: The trick to making a perfect piece of French toast is the bread! Here is a sweet ode to bread. What's your favourite type of bread? Do you ever make it at home? Or you just pop down to your local bakery?
P.P.S: Full recipe here!

OMG! This is to die for! I must try this. We have a nice little french bakery here in Newport Beach called "C'est si Bon", where the baguettes are baked throughout the day and they're always fresh. I also love "Il Fornaio" and "La Brea Bakery".

i love sourdough. yum!!
holy COW deliciousness! thank you! what a fun way to entertain guests with a special breakfast like THAT!
I had French toast last weekend - made with homemade French bread! :-) I added a dash of orange juice to the egg batter stuff, so it had a wonderful hint of citrus too.
That looks like heaven! I like to make mine with think sliced challah dipped in a thick egg/whipping cream mixture and coated with sliced almonds and cinnamon sugar before I grill it on the griddle...oh...yes....
Best,
Tina
Wow, I love both but this might make me actually pass out!!
Happy Thursday for sure! xoxo
Holy yum! My husband made me stuffed french toast with chocolate chips for my birthday. I was in heaven.
That's evil, just evil!! I like my French toast the classic way ;-)
Esther.
oh.my.god.
That looks amazing! Though I personally feel that Nutella is the devil - it's too irresistible!!
As any Italian. I love my bread, and Switzerland is full of amazing bakeries - even just average grocery stores have several kinds of fresh bread every single day and boy, are they all delicious.
Which is lucky, but also unlucky because how am I supposed to lose weight when I am constantly surrounded by delicious carbs>>
That plate looks fabulous! Back in the day I would make my own bread and there's nothing more delicious, but it's been a long time--perhaps this summer I will take it up again! Love your yummy inspiration!

I can't even handle how good this looks. We had pancakes with nutella in Puerto Rico last weekend and they were delicious!
This looks fantastic. And I am so hungry and need chocolate right now :)
You're killin' me! LOL...there are so many posts on blogs today referring to chocolate of some sorts. I've never tried chocolate french toast, but it looks divine!
I love rustic, sourdough type bread, rye, hearty wheat, oh...man...what don't I like? Actually I don't like raisins, so I'd have to say NO to raisin bread. :)
What's your favorite kind?
I am filling guilty just by looking at it.

Ooo! This looks fabulous! Can you make some for me and airmail it to the States? :)
P.S. Going to the post office today, so your apron will be on it's way soon!
