Even though I work from home I always look forward to coffee breaks when Balazs and I race for a cuppa to our local cafe. As soon as you enter, the smell of freshly grounded coffee beans mixed with steamy milk makes you feel happy. I don't know why but coffee breaks are so essential to my day. It gives me a chance to switch off, regroup and refocus for the rest of the day. There are days that we just sit there in silence and watch people. It's always fun to observe the surroundings and the different behaviours.
Anyhow, here is a great project by Refinery29 where Angela snapped a cool series of NYC coffee shops! How about you, darlings, do you have regular coffee breaks? Do you like observing people? What's your favourite coffee shop or type of coffee? xo

How cool! I love coffee shops. There is this one by my house that I love. It has huge windows that open into the street, perfect for people watching!
I might have to find some of these coffee shops, I'm heading off for New York tomorrow!
Love the smell of coffee too...
And I don't know what is it,
but I like hanging out in coffee shops, must be the ambiance and the goodies they serve ♥

Great photos, I do like an NY coffee shop. My local in London is called Blackbird Bakery, prices are reasonable and they serve a very fine selection of cakes!
Anabel, that is how I feel as well..Those coffee breaks are much needed!
Christianna, you totally should check them out. Have a fantastic time in NYC!
I feel the same way about coffee and coffee shops. It's like total comfort starting with the aroma. Here in Newport Beach I love Peet's , Kean, and Eat Chow for a capuccino or an iced mocha. Ciao...
Oh I love those photos....and that tin ceiling in the first photo! Coffee breaks are my favorite, too. I love this little Viennese chain called Julius Meinl....do you have that in New York? I recently discovered it here in Chicago.
Very cool photos! I love coffee and going to coffee shops! I love the aroma (as well as the taste)!
There's a great place by my place called Cafe Romeo that makes perfect coffee and excellent soy lattes and has a pretty decent vegan food menu. I would live there if I could.

Luv coffee break & of course people watching anywhere is always a delight, Diana!

Sometimes the coffee break is sooo necessary ... and not just the kind where you walk five feet to your kitchen coffee pot.
Also, the ceilings in that coffee shop are divine!

I just can't imagine my life withouth coffee, cafes and mornings, when I drink my coffee and read my favourite blogs. I specialy love Italy and their coffee culture, they just know how to enjoy it and how to make a great one :)
Stunning leggins! I need a cup of jo right about now.
I am starting to work from home the 13th of June - and because of that I just ordered coffee for like 110$ to our coffee machine! So yeah, it is kind of important to me I suppose :)

I used to always frequent coffee shops when I lived in NY but now I just brew a pot at home...so not the same thing
Yesterday I really need a coffee break but never got one...so I had a glass of wine at night instead! It was relaxing! We were looking around at people when we were at the amusement park...it was very interesting...saw a lot of shoes I liked! :)
