Some time ago Design*Sponge featured the home of Jason and Jill Robertson and I find myself going back to it over and over as I adore some of their design ideas. They found a clever way to display their beloved book collection by framing them and hanging them on the wall. Brilliant! (All the covers are designed by Dick Bruna)...

The amazing art work - all created by Jason - gives a personal feel to the space. The spirograph posters were inspired by a mid-century magazine cover. The rabbit makes such a statement - that's my favourite touch.

They also opened that narrow hallway with a pattern of mirrors all in white frames, creating contrast with the wall colour...

Look at that bookshelf full of treasures and art work in beautiful harmony - splendid!
And don't even get me started on that awesome dog! :)
Darlings, how do you feel about framed books, huge art pieces or wall of mirrors? Would you use any of those ideas for your home? Or maybe you already have? xo
P.S: Full tour of Jason and Jill's home here and here!

i wish i had that herman miller chair in the bottom pic.
I love the mirrored hallway. It's beautiful.
This is absolutely the coolest house. I want to steal that idea of putting your favorite books into frames, and the hallway of mirrors too! It really opens up a room!

Framing books is such a wonderful idea!!! A much better way to display your favourites than to just shelf them. Nice!

i can't get over the framed book covers! love love LOVE!
I'm always amazed by the neatness and organization of these homes. Mine looks nothing like that! So much more cluttery and eclectic. :)
(I have a handmade jewelry giveaway on my blog right now--super cute stuff).

Such a gorgeous home!
I adore the grey in these beautiful spaces! Diana, also thank you for your kind words on my little announcement:-). Have a lovely evening. XX

I love the idea of framing books! I never would have thought of that - it's brilliant!
I can't decide how I feel about framing books! I love the idea of books as artwork, but I'd have to choose ones I didn't want to read! ;-)
having mirrors on the walls, really makes the space feel larger! I personally love the bookshelf, with the books arranged differently in each square.
Right now, I have a stack of books serving the purpose of a night table for my globe lamp!
in love with those white framed mirrors! gorge!
Framing vintage books is a great idea, my problem is that I actually read mine :)
I love the hall of mirrors. And their bookcase is beautiful and impressively tidy.
I'm always taking ideas for my home and on your post there are fantastic.:)

i love that wonderful mirrored hallway!!!
The framed books are such a great idea!
The gray walls are stunning. I probably wouldn't do a wall of mirrors but it works so nicely with their color and clean lines.
Great ideas with artwork and framing books. It's funny I can love all the interiors, but if I see a pet-it wins every time!!!
What a clever idea the hanging books are! And I loved the hallway lined in mirrors.
I love how clean and simple everything is. Perfect style!
great apartment!
would love to paint my wall in the same grey as on the pictures, it looks great!
happy tuesday!
Omgosh, I love these pics! Thanks so much for sharing, I'm totally going to check out the full tour now! We did our master bedroom in a grey. I love grey, and the bookshelves, the artwork, the rug...everything!

I have TOTALLY thought of that for books!! or at least taking the covers off and framing them!
i love the wall of mirrors!
i'm looking for a largeish art piece for our walls. i've never committed to something big before, so it's a challenge...
Oh I love Design sponge! There was a house featured last year that I kept going over and over to visit!
I like the framed book idea...and another option could be to frame the book cover? Very creative, indeed!
It's a clever idea actually. I'd find myself wanting to break open the frame, though.
I ♥ books. I ♥ touching books. I ♥ reading them over and over again.
Great ideas & I love their dog. I, too, have a Jack Russell terrier. He's soooo precious to me. xo.
I like the wall of mirrors and bookshelves. I really like the colour in the living room and the white trim. And the sofa.
Btw: the dog's name is Elvis:) So cute!!!
Mirrors and art are my favorites, just moved into a gorgeous home with a huge mirror covering one wall, it's incredible. xoxo
I love idea of framed books. I am going to have to borrow that one day.
