Yesterday was one of those mornings when nothing seemed to go my way, and Murphy's law followed me everywhere :) That is, until I saw those photographs by French photographer Thierry Bouët of babies in their first hours after being born. My heart skipped a beat looking at all those very specific and super funny facial expressions. Here are my four favourites: goofy, worried, happy and angry! Thank g-d I'm not the only one that thinks they look like aliens! I am not a fan of new born babies- to me they all look the same, including my own, like plucked chickens-
Whenever I 'meet' a new born baby I say my go to line: 'wow he/she seems so alert'
That way I don't have to lie and say 'what a cute baby'.
I know very cold hearted I am.

It's so crazy that babies look like that (so fully formed!) right after birth. Hard to imagine babies with all those perfect little features INSIDE a woman's tummy.
