Each year around Easter I get new cookbooks to re-discover spice combinations and get excited about cooking/baking. In practice Balazs is the one who does the actual cooking (I do baking) but I bug him to try those new stuff (giggle) and by now he even asks if I found something new to try. So, sweets, which cookbooks do you love? Or maybe you have a favourite chef? I would love to know. xoxo

i love just about any cookbooks actually. i love flipping through the baking ones that always make everything look so perfectly pretty that i can't help but make an attempt.
I really love Jamie Oliver's new cookbook - Jamie's Ministry of Food it's great and also feature great photography and styling.
These photos are mouthwatering!!
Listen to that - the word verification on my last comment was Scones! I kid you not!!
I'm very bad in the cookbook front but I hear the Jamie Oliver ones are really cool! You must share the result of your little poll! I'd love to know which book comes highly recommended! :D

haha..Galit! I love that:)
I collect Cookbooks and magazines and I don't think that three life times would be enough to try all recipes I have. My favorite are Australian Weekly Cookbooks. Everything I made from them turned out just as it was promised.
working my way through nigella express!
xo
I don't read cookbooks, but I do like to watch Jamie Olive occasionally....cause' he's just so cute and fun to watch. Otherwise, I just kinda wing it in the kitchen. I don't do much baking, but I usually check out Martha Stewart sometimes and other cooking blogs.
You two sound like a match made in heaven!
This photos have made me sooo hungry! I find that the Kitchen Bible is a really helpful source for cooking methods and it has numerous amounts of recipes.

I've been trying out some rachel ray meals and they have been pretty good!
Bestie, Nigella is so wonderful and Shopgirl, Im also smitten with Jamie. He has the cutest British accent, doesnt he?
Cook for me girl..I am and always will be a disaster in the kitchen:(
Happy Thursday!

I'm the other way, love cooking, baking is not my forte.... Presently I'm in love with Gaston Acurio, a peruvian cook who is into fusion.

I have many cookbooks that I adore cooking from- but my favorites right now are from Williams Sonoma :)
i adore nigella lawson for baking. so simple + fun, and a little sexy!

Yum!! I dont have a fav cookbook but we really love to watch Top Chef on Bravo. I hope you have a great day and good luck with your new recipe.
Lovely, yumyumyum!
Oh those flatbreads look amazing. I have a few old favorites but lately I've just been using recipes I print from the internet, it's getting messy in my cookbook cupboard with all these loose papers.
i don't own 1 cookbook - i pull off the internet or a magazine - or i ask a friend for a recipie - or most of the time i wing it :o)
PS ... LAST DAY TO Join Custom Sign Give-Away HOPE YOU ALL WILL!

I am in totally in love with Nigella and a food network addict. However, I think I only have 5 cookbooks. my favorite cookbook is Mark Bitman's How to cook everything. Awesome Awesome.
send me a piece of that pizza pls? looks delish :)
Ahhh, well.. my favourite cook-book has to be Sophie Dahl's Voluptuous Delights, which I got after seeing the tv series: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s1vc8
The photos are lovely, and she writes beautifull! ahhhh.
I am thinking of buying: 'She's leaving home' as that book also looks like a very pretty cook-book! xxxxxxxx
I LOVE cooking. One of my favorite cookbooks is the "Crappy Little Kitchen" cookbook, and also Pioneer Woman. But my favorite cook is my mom, and because of her, I never follow a recipe to the letter. :-) I love experimenting - I actually have a mostly-cooking blog myself! Bonjourhan blog
I love Jamie Oliver and Ina Garten. As for cookbooks, I don't have any, but the other day I browsed Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking by Karin Kretschmann. It has great reviews!!!
Now I'm hungry!!!
Kisses!
My mom has an amazing collection of cookbooks and I can't wait to get them one day! I love Giada de Laurentiis, she's my favorite!
I cook and bake but baking was my first love. I love so many chefs and saw Daniel Boulud when we were in his restaurant in Singapore. I was like a little schoolgirl ;)
Yummy! I love cooking and baking - but since my 17 year old was a young teen, the kitchen was taken over. (I'm not complaining ... but when the house is empty I know I'll love being the chef again!)
I don't have many cookbooks only baking books so I'm going to look at some of your comments for help!! =) Thanks!!

I recently got the Moosewood Restaurant Cooking for Health cookbook -- great if you're trying to incorporate more vegan/vegetarian in your life.
I have TONS of cookbooks and even if I don't cook from then because husband is very conservative in culinary tastes, I love reading them!! Still love Silver Palate, Julia Child and Joy of Cooking but there are many, many others.
Thank you for all those cool recommendations! You guys are awesome!!!
have you ever tried Epicurious.com ? it's not as lovely as a book, but it's a vast resource of thousands of recipies. that's where i always go when i need something specific. :)
Ohhh that looks so good! My FAVORITE new cookbook is Ottolenghi!!!!
I don't usually buy cookbooks because there are so many online options. The latest book I bought was The almond flour cookbook. But I do love to search recipes at tastespotting and epicurious!
That pizza looks so yummy. I've been relying on food blogs lately but I am curious to try a new cookbook too.
That is so lovely that Balazs cooks! Gil loves to cook too but he often doesn't have the time with work. :( He's actually better at it than me.
Cookbooks... hmmm, I have the Book of Whole Meals which I adore but I am also a sucker for good comfort foods like Paula Deen type cooking. I know. I know. I should curb that habit. ;)
I love Jamie Oliver's Jamie at Home. Not only is it a lovely book with great pictures... it's so rustic and real. He literally digs up the food he eats from his backyard... even hunts the game. Great dude! An old soul... they don't make em like that anymore!
I am not much of a cooker or chef, so, can't offer much...quick and easy things are my best friend, but I love how you get a new cookbook every Easter...so lovely!
Liesl :)
I love Jamie Oliver, of course, his stuff is really comforting. Oh! And Nigella Lawson! She's awesome. I have "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child, which is good, but everything in there takes hours/days to make. I've also got a vintage Betty Crocker from 1950, which has got some downright disgusting looking stuff in it, but it's fun to look at. They used to put gelatin in everything back then, even mayonnaise! (barf)
Happy Thursday!
Kelli, I will check it out for sure. It sounds interesting and Kris, I totally agree, he is one great guy:)
I love Nigella! Now I'm hungry...oy! xx
I like finding recipes for my husband to make from all over the place :) when I cook, I like to wing it! Except with baking - always follow recipes then ;) xo
MMMMM. I need this in my belly now! I love all the light fresh foods that come around during Spring/Summer.

best foodie personality for me is Anthony Bourdain, although he doesn't give recipies out per-se his food travels are so inspirational!
Mmmm. I'm feelin a late night snack coming on;)
Looks so yummy.

The Cheeky Cafe
My "go to" cookbook is Great Food Fast. I've tried several dozen of their recipes, some of which have become household favorites!
If they made a cookbook on flatbed pizzas, I would definitely do my best to become a chef for sure!
