How incredible are those turf houses in Iceland? They totally look like a part of the landscape. Imagine having a house with a green hat like that! Just looking at those photos, I can almost feel the fresh breeze touching my face. Iceland is a place to visit for sure! Have you been there? xoxo
Ps: Happy New Year, darlings! So excited to be back:)

Amazing!!!!
How do they get the grass to grow on the roof, I wonder? I suppose it keeps the home a nice temperature?
Happy New year, Diana!

How neat!
I have not been but would very much like to. Love these houses, I live in Phoenix so wild green grass is a bit luxurious here - water is precious.
I love the way those look. They're gorgeous. But all I can think about is bugs. I would think they'd just be nesting all over in the roof. Maybe not.
Very cute. I love these houses, in fact, I love them enough that they made an appearence in my third novel. They're so pretty.

They are great. I love how they blend in and I bet it's great insulation too. Do you think you have to mow it?

welcome back, friend!! wow these houses are sooo cool!! thanks for sharing!!
I love seeing unique houses. Which is why I'm usually the one at the house begging my husband to watch House Hunters International with me. It's just cool to see something different, don't you think?
Totally, Amanda! I love watching house hunting shows hahah. I get so inspired by them
Those are adorable! I want one!
Love these. When I was a kid and we used to go to Long Beach (Vancouver Island, not CA) one of my favourite parts of the trip was stopping at a shop/barn with a green roof and goats walking around on top of it!
Is like a fairytale! Sweden is really beautiful but this was magical ;)
