For the past few days I'm craving cheese and I'm thinking about skipping today's lunch and have stinky cheese and wine for dinner. So beside my usual choices of Beaufort or Comté, I would like to try something new. So darlings, what's your favourite cheese? Any recommendations? xoxo
P.S: Stay tuned for GIVEAWAY Wednesday...

I LOVE cheese! Especially brie and camembert types, I could have it for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner.... 24/7 :)

If you like brie, you will probably like camembert (just a little stinkier). I also love goat cheese and Port Salut. But the Port Salut I have had in the states has never been as good as the kind in France.

I LOVE cheese but I couldn't possibly pick a favourite, depends on my mood.
Top 10 would be:
Roquefort
Cambembert
Stinking Bishop
Parmesan
Cheddar
Huntsman (Double Gloucester with Shropshire Blue in the middle)
Goats cheese
Emmental
Halloumi
Raclette
Well, that's today's top 10. It will probably change tomorrow. I will now spend the afternoon thinking all about cheese.
Emma...thank you for that list..I also love goat cheese and my Balazs could eat Emmental all day long...hahah
Cheese is my favorite snack. My husband thinks I'm obsessed. Black provolone is my favorite!
Awesome post!
xx
I've never been one to try different cheeses but today I think might be the day worth being adventurous!
yumm
Do believe that I'm allergic to cheese?!? :( And I like gooey things too... anyway, a cheese and wine dinner sounds very romantic to me for some reason! Probably because I can't have it... does THAT make any sense? :/
There is a very special place in my heart for cheese. If someone ever got me a plate of fancy cheeses, I would love them forever. One of my favorites at the moment is a super-sharp cheddar.
yum love cheese! Especially goats cheese and some crispy nutty bread!
cheese is my favorite food. 'nuff said!
Ok ... now my mouth is watering!

Monte Enebro
Pecorino Toscano Fresco
Truffle Tremor
Humboldt Fog
you're a girl after my own heart, darling! i LOVE cheese!

I love almost all cheese, maybe blue and feta are my least fav's. Yesterday had some friends over and we munched on an English Gloucester with chives and onions and it was divine.
There is nothing better than stinky cheese and wine...that is a perfect dinner!! Enjoy doll xoxo
Sara..It totally makes sense! And Kris, I will try La Tur for sure! Cant wait:)
I'm having raclette for dinner tonight, it's the best!
totally obsessed with cheese. i love a good sharp cheddar!
That cheese looks sooooooo goood :P Sometimes I sneak a whole bulk of cheese out of the fridge and it all on my won ;) -MadameVilre xoxo
Love good old cheddar. But I have a little bit of an obsession with all kinds of cheese...
I am so cheesy myself! I just love cheese. Hence the reason I am trying not to eat it! I love to make a fancy cheese plate with almonds, crystallized ginger, honey, or even quince! I love brie and other soft cheeses, havarti, and good old white cheddar. Of course I also love unusual cheeses with truffle or a blue cheese brie. Sam's Club actually has some good cheese!
I have two favorites: Cantal and Gruyere. Cantal is hard to get in the states, and gruyere is great on it's on or in mac and cheese. If you like Comte try cheese from the Jura region.
I LOVE cheese, brie & goat are my favs. Enjoy!
yum! now i'm hungry!
there's a cafe in new york i like to stop at when i visit, where you can order a plate of various cheese and fresh made baguette. it's the perfect meal. :)
Eek, I am little behind on this...as part of my life list I want to try 1000 cheeses! so far i am up like 45 NOT super impresssive. but anyway, I love some english stilton, camembert, and some REALLY sharp cheddar
Stinky cheese sounds so comforting and lovely today. (wine too)
We love a port marbles cheese we get at whole foods. So good.
mmmmm, i love cheese, goat is my favorite!
Chic on the Cheap
Cheese is so necessary! I love Monterrey Jack and a really moist mozarella.
Thanks so much for all those amazing cheese ideas:) I cant wait to try them:)
i love goat cheese... it has so much flavor and can be used in salads too... yum!!!
I love any kind of cheese!
I'm so into this cranberry cheddar we've had around the house lately -- it's delicious!

i eat sooo much cheese!! it's a staple around here. i really like gouda, honey goat cheese and double creme brie. ummmm
ps. last week you asked about a movie, and i wrote that i couldn't watch it because i was depressed. sooo not the movie i thought you were talking about! the one where the kids look for their sperm donor dad...love that movie. well except for the the cheating part. but the movie i thought you were talking about was where the dads kids are all supposed to come visit them and they all bail so he goes and visits all of them. with drew barrymore. that's the one i was depressed in and couldn't watch.
Ohhh I love cheese too!!! I'm a Brie girl. I love it & could eat it all day long! I once tried this cheese with truffle oil. It was divine!! =)
Melanie's Randomness
I don't know what brand or even what kind, but I just had a cheese with olives in it...salty and smelly = love!
Haha had to laugh when you wrote stinky cheese because I looked at the pictures and could smell them from here :-)
lately my husband and I have been either skipping dinner or eating a smaller dinner so we can indulge in some reserve compte, aged cheddar, and other yummy cheese. I'm with you on this one!
There is no such thing as too much cheese ;)
Diana, I love this! My husband and I were in the grocery store once and I said, "Do you know what I would buy if we had all the money in the world?" I'm sure his mind was racing... My reply was, "Lots of really good cheese." :)
Humboldt Fog (in the picture) is one of my favorites! A while ago, I was out to dinner with friends and ordered a half-bottle of wine and a cheese platter. The next day, one of them said that she wished she would have done the same!
