How beautiful is that hand-stitched Indian blanket in the photo? Lonny Magazine featured a house tour of John Robshaw's Connecticut country home. The whole place is filled with beautiful, colourful fabrics. I'm totally smitten with the idea of using unique blankets/fabrics as wall art. Darlings, what do you think? Is this something you would try in your home? xoxo

If a friend/family member gifted me with a blanket with such intricate detail as this one, I would proudly display it in my home!
Have a wonderful weekend Diana!
I think this is such a neat idea! I also like the idea of framing fun pieces of fabric and hanging it as wall art!
Oh and those pillows are so cute!

Oh I like this! It reminds me of college houses that hang sarongs on their walls over their bean bag chairs, but this is much classier! I like it a lot. :D

This is beautiful! You are the expert at finding inspiration!
I have an Indian sari that hangs the length of my bedroom wall. You can see it in some of my outfit photos. It really is the perfect wall art, I think!
Aw, this is so beautiful! I love the idea of fabrics and textiles as wall decor (I once framed some fabric scraps and it looked so different on the wall, framed than as just scraps! :)) - this one is gorgeous. Hope your Friday is going well, dear!
It's beautiful but I wouldn't try it at home - well I'd have the blanket on the bed but not the wall. I like to keep my walls fuss-free. Lovely cushions too.
i want that quilt badly! its just gorgeous, i would love it in my hall it would work perfect.
I love the whole blankets on walls thing, it add such detail and texture!

I love it when you add that something unexpected to a room. The colors just make you want to get up in the morning.
Oh, Diana, I love it! Gorgeous and I would definitely have it in my home! I wish I had a wall big enough to hang The Big Guy's grandmothers handmade quilts. The stitch work is incredible! Thanks for sharing! Happy Weekend! xoxo Beth
That's a beautiful blanket! My parents have a patchwork quilt hanging in their kitchen, and I've always loved it. It's a very artsy one, not a country kitsch type (which I would hate). Now that I think about it, it seems like a strange thing to hang in a kitchen, but it doesn't look out of place at all.
I love it! Sometimes I regret living in such a small house because there isn't enough space for decorations like this.
OOh beautiful! I love that.

Beth...awww I bet its stunning and so very special:)
I love it, and I love the pillows too!
I have often thought of doing this. I have some beautiful Navajo blankets that could be fun to through up in guest room or office.
Someday when I have house. Someday!
Love it. Love it. Love it.
Imagine having a dress out of that fabric.
I really really liked that!
