When you were little who chose your clothes? Did you do it? Or was it mom?
I could always choose what I wanted to wear and if my parent tried to influence it...I cried for hours (I am still very stubborn...I guess those things don’t get better with age...hahaha)

Stripes on kids are awesome! Having children of my own, I've found it's sometimes hard to get them to wear what I want them to wear. There are certain things that I think would look totally great on my girls, but if they have their minds made up to wear polka-dots and flowers, well, I just pick my battles.
As for me when I was a child--I was never very picky although I did have a penchant for wearing things inside-out and backwards... :/

Oh my god Don't get me started! My mom said I wouldn't leave the house if I didn't like my outfit (that hasn't changed) I always needed a purse, "high heel" jellies (remember those?) or a dress on! Iwas very aware of fashion at an early age. I guess I was a little fashionista in training :)

Those pictures just make me SMILE. I got to choose my own clothes .. that is, till my older sister decided to take over. I reclaimed my independence once she left home, but missed her a lot too. Now my daughters pick out my clothes for me :)

Oh my gosh, how cute is that first munchkin with the matching doll? These tots are all so adorable! I'm convinced stripes can never look bad. Ever.
When I was little my mom picked my clothes all the time, and my hair styles as well. We have very different styles so I was not a fan, there were often tears.
Honestly, what's wrong with stripes - nothing (as long as they are going to right way to make me look skinny! :) )

my grandma used to take me on little shopping sprees for school clothes at the department store (i still can't walk thru one without thinking of her). So her good taste made me look pretty good as a little kid, i think. :)

I agree I think kids look cute in just about anything. I definitely picked out my clothes as a kid. My mom figured who cared anyway let her wear what she wants. I was rebel :)

Nice post, those kids are so darn cute! And I could also choose my own clothes, except for parties where I had to look my best and I had to wear a dress. I really did not like dresses, even though I could choose my own dress. I'm more girlie these days though! hihi
