Last Friday I saw Sex and the City 2. I have to admit that after reading a few reviews (which were uffff...not good...ouch!), I was worried that it might...well, suck! But my dear ladies, why do we love the girls? I don’t know about you, but the reason I watch this movie is that I can plunge back into the glitz planet of shoes, fabulous gowns, sex-relationship talk and most importantly to visit old friends (I watched them obsessively for years). The outfits were beautiful...The Abu Dhabi setting was breathtaking and I really enjoyed the story line with this little twist in form of Aiden (John Corbett). I can completely relate to the statement the movie represents….that everyone makes their own rules in a relationship/marriage and all is relative! For me it was the best 2 hours of laugh-out-loud hilarious fun and stunning fashion which I probably would never be able to pull off (although I would love to).
Anyhow, see it for yourself, and if it’s not your cup of tea… that’s ok too!
This is my favourite Halston frocks!
Did you see the movie? What are your thoughts, I would love to hear it!Love,

Ohhh yes....I adore Elizabeth and the book was so good...we could see it together when it’s out in August! With the boys...if they are up for it!
I saw SATC2 with my girlfriends, too, and we enjoyed it! It was so much fun. The funniest thing? Seeing all the girls who'd come to watch the film wearing high heels!
Cafe bellini..That's so true, same here...hahahah
i have to wait until wednesday to see the movie & i am dieeeeing. I cannot wait to see what fashion, looks, and glamour the girls have in store!

That dress is my fave as well..and she wears it to perfection! Glitz planet...my new favorite expression! :)
xx
I thought they dealt with a lot more real-life issues in this one than they did in the first one, but near the end I found it really (culturally) offensive. Definitely liked the first one better.
Hey Diana,
I read the poor reviews too, but I never listen to reviews. I can't wait to see it....since I'm in Italy I have to wait. But, I'm going home for the summer, so I might get a chance to see it then if it's still out in the theatres.
Hope you had a great weekend!
p.s.Love, love Sex in the City!!!
xo
I loved the fashion in this too, but not so much the story plot lol.
Yes, the reviews are pretty devastating, but I have to say this dress is absolutely gorgeous. Will I watch the film? When it's on TV... But I'm happy you had a great time watching it. That's the most important thing. xxx

Didn't see the movie, but I did FINALLY see Julie & Julia and was completely delighted! I smiled thru the whole thing :)

Haven't seen it yet but I heard it wasn't that good, HOWEVER, who cares?! It's all about the clothes, right? And these are gorgeous!
I definitely want to go see that movie no matter what the reviews say!
Oh I have not seen it yet but am really looking forward to it. Based on the previews, the set/costume design look amazing.
Thanks for the review! xoxo

Louve the color of that dress...

I also saw it this weekend, and I have to say I was still feeling a bit let down. I loved the way the show ended and I hated that the first movie infringed on that perfectness.
I was hoping things would be put back in this one, but at the end, everything was still in the same place.
Of course I enjoyed the 800 wardrobe changes and the extreme focus on the opulence of the hotel, it was hilarious as well, but I was hoping for just a tiny bit more plot.
Chic on the Cheap
I dunno, the plot seems a little funny, but I'm planning on seeing it with my mom nonetheless. And I'll wear heels, for sure, and we'll get a cocktail afterwards. She's been talking about it for weeks! I'm excited to see it with her, regardless of the plot!
Movie was great...she had some really interesting outfits...like that Dior tshirt/dress...and this dress Halston was sooo PRETTY!

I NEED to write a real review. Just saw the movie today. We found it to be a bit too cheesy in some scenes, which was a huge bummer. (Karaoke, hiding out in the burkas - those parts were especially bad, but I also found the last scene with Big a bit cringe-worthy. Where were the old writers hiding??)
The parts that were good were GOOD though, and it had even more emotion than the first movie. That said, this movie was barely a B whereas I found the first one to be an A+.
I loved a ton of the clothes. I want a turban.
I agree too about relationships needing their own rules. I get so tired of people telling me what I should be doing, when they're not even me!
However, the best book about relationships I ever read was 'Men Are From Mars, Women are From Venus.' It's based on truths that stay true. :)
