Home Tweak: Colourful Window Frames

Thursday, February 23, 2017

Have you heard? Ha, colourful window frames are a thing, and I like it! Supposedly it's the easiest and quickest way to make your space feel clean, fresh and incredibly stylish! Personally, I'd choose blue or yellow for my windows. I love the impact it makes. You?

Food and a Puppy

Since Christmas, I’ve been gently hinting to Balazs that we should get a new puppy but till we actually decide on it, you can find me here, melting over this cutie. His name is Cookie, he lives in New York and loves vegan food :) Check him out for an extra dose of morning cuteness…

P.S: Bread and a dog...

Genius Water Drinking Tip

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Do you drink enough water?

Honestly, it’s a daily struggle for me - Get over yourself, Diana, right? :) - and then I often find myself feeling super thirsty just before bedtime. Sounds familiar? Well, if you're committed to get your water-drinking game in order before spring, here is a nifty tip that might just do the trick.

Next time you're about to chuck down a full glass of water, add a pinch of Himalayan salt to your glass and sip it through a straw instead. Supposedly, the combination of salt and a straw helps maximize the water absorption into your organism, making your body and mind fresher quicker.

Nifty, isn’t it? I'm trying this today, are you with me?

P.S: Water is a family affair.
P.P.S: A gallon of water a day!

Spring Tulle Skirt: Thumbs up or down?

If you’re not into all that silk glossiness, why not try one of those ballerina-inspired tulle skirts this spring instead! Yup, tulle is said to make this upcoming season incredibly feminine in that wearable type-of-way. My inner ballerina-wannabe wants to wear this sassy maxi skirt on repeat. Isn't it pretty?

What do you think? Could you pull it off?

P.S: Let's tutu...

Kenya’s Slum Ballet

This melts my heart! Every Wednesday after school hours, the Spurgeons Academy located in Kibera transforms into a ballet studio where students sweep the floor in preparation for their class with Mike Wamaya. This wonderful guy teaches those local kids the beauty of movement, the art of dance and enriches their imagination like no one else! It’s mind-blowing to see that in places with so little resources, wonderful things like this can happen too...

Sushi Doughnut

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Have you heard of sushi doughnuts? Recently, Sam brilliantly came up with a nifty way to create doughnuts out of sushi rice! Here is a beautiful video (and a recipe) of how-to make them happen in your own kitchen.

Will you try it? I definitely will!

P.S: Also, sushi burgers.
