Are you a dog person? If so, what's your favourite dog breed?
Balazs and I are considering getting a puppy later this year, but we're not totally sure what kind would be best for us. We are thinking between an English Cocker Spaniel and a Golden Retriever, but we also love the idea of owning our own little sausage dog:) Aren't they full of personality? Plus, just recently, a friend sent me this teddy-bear-like photo of a Goldendoodle that stole my heart!
Anyway, I'd love to hear what's your experience with different dog breeds. Our aim is to have a friendly, calm yet playful buddy that we can take everywhere we go.
Do share...
P.S: Fancy more?
P.P.S: Giggle!

We have two dogs, a French bulldog & a Chihuahua. Both are living in our family for many years (Lily the bulldog, is ten years old, Tiffany, the Chi, is nearly 15 years old). They are a dream team, very friendly, very funny, they don't make much work (and noise), have no problems with our Maine Coon Cats and our children love them and the dogs love the kids too. And Lily is a great soccer player, which is very cool!
Our Molly is a 4 ys old chocolate labrador that we adopted when she was just a puppy. At first she was scared of everything but her true personality quickly developed and now she is the friendliest dog on the block. Our son adores her, they are best friends. She constantly following him around and making sure he is OK. I couldn't ask for a more balanced, mild, happy and easygoing dog.

I can't recommend the breed 'Bolonka Zwetna' enough. They are super cute, love to play, don't shed, don't bark and adapt to your life. They love to come everywhere but also can stay Home alone when trained. I would never get another breed :)
Oh and I forgot to mention they are super curious and the friendliest <3
Mini Dachshund's are FULL of personality and LOVE to snuggle!!!!!
I had a poodle for 16 years and he was the sweetest dog!!
Now we have a beagle and he is super cute but suuuuper playful and full of energy. He is great with kids, that why we got him, in case in the future we have children. I'd recommend a beagle, they tend to be very healthy and don't need so many baths, but only if you have a lot of free time to play with him and take him to the park. Also, long walks!
4 more, she is 15 years old?! That's amazing:) They both sound wonderful and I'd love to see Lily playing soccer - must be awesome!
Ola, that is the sweetest thing ever! We have a friend who used to have a Labrador too. He was so gentle and loving. I still remember his beautiful calm eyes:)
Oh my goodness, Julia they are SO cute! I just googled the name and a whole page of tiny puppy goodness unfolded:) Thank you!
Taylor, I love that :)
Gaby, thanks for that! Since we both work from home, we can easily find some extra time to go for long walks. Beagles sound really lovely:)
My Bichon is 17 and of course I love and adore her. It's wonderful to have a dog that doesn't shed, and I'd take that into consideration!

I have a lovely 1year old maltese lady! She is calm, loves cudles and yet she is so playful and happy that she just knocks me out every time we play together. Her fur is so soft and she doesn't shed at all! I believe that maltese dogs are easily trained and do well with other dogs and kidos... I am so in love with her eyes!
Love from Greece
I have two mini dachshunds and they are perfect for me. However I would warn that they take a long time to potty train since they are so stubborn. Sausage dogs really do bring a lot of humor into their humans' lives. I couldn't be without them :)
We have a corgi who is so sweet and playful! He does shed a ton though ha ha
Lydia, good point! Also, 17 years old? That is amazing!
Chrisa, I totally love what you said - my heart melted! Plus, maltese dogs are totally adorable:)
Anonymous, thanks for those tips! I had no idea they are so stubborn. But it totally makes sense:) Thank you!
Jen, I LOVE your corgi:)
