Coffee Mindfulness

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Next time you're passing by your favourite café, instead of grabbing a cuppa to-go, just sit down with your beverage for 5 minutes and try this:

'Focus on the sensations coming from your coffee. Notice the warmth, the rising steam. How does the cup feel in your hand? When you take a sip, pay attention to the taste, the aroma. As you swallow, feel the warm liquid.'

It's one of those little things we can do to live in a mindful moment - to stop, to focus on the task at hand and to transform a rather mundane errand into a tiny meditation that will result in you feeling calmer, relaxed and energized at the same time. Yup, coffee not only jazzes you up, it can also make you feel chilled, if you just give it a chance:)

P.S: Have you tried rosemary coffee yet?
P.P.S: Coffee shop chatter.

Those are the little things we think we know but it's great if someone remind them from time to time :) Thank you Diana for this little reminder what life is really about :)
