The Bloom of The Moment

Monday, June 20, 2016

You know what? Ever since last Thursday when Emily posted about those rather strange and almost alien-like blooms called Pincushion flowers (Leucospermum cordifolium), I’ve been totally mesmerized by them!

Supposedly they are the ‘it’ flowers this summer and according to people who had them before, they last much longer than all the other flowers - even up to three weeks! Also, instead of drooping like most blooms do once they're past their prime, they just fade gradually in colour. Not to mention, with such bright and unusual presence, you just need to get one stem to brighten your whole flat in no time!

Could they be any more perfect? I’m on a mission to hunt one down this week. You?

P.S: The best way to keep fresh flowers and this little flower project that I love!

Jill, you can probably get them at bigger florists or wholesale flower marts. Hope that helps:)
