Black is the New Red this Festive Season

Do you wear black nail polish?

I’ve just read that despite its bad wrap since 90's gothic style, black is the ‘it’ colder season hue. Supposedly, this rather overlooked colour is more versatile than the classic red, way foxier than festive sparkles and totally wearable whether you’re going to work or a jolly dinner party.

A few of my favourite shades are the classic all black Union Jack Black by Butter London, the sassy and dark Wicked by essie with a deep red undertone, and the coolest of them all, the Licorice aka 100% of total sophistication.

I love wearing them with stacking rings, an understated dress and a dash of lips. You?

P.S: Plus a few more nail colours for the chilly weather.
P.P.S: And the matte take on burgundy nails.

On a rule, I stay away from black nailpolish, not really sure why, as I like how it looks on others.

Ooo! Fun! I haven't worn black nail polish since my high school goth phase. :) Time for a fun throwback! xo, Katie

I have actually never worn black nail polish, although after this pictures I have a desire to try... ;) For my next buy I'm planning Smokin'hot by Essie. That will be the darkest for me ever. Have you tried it maybe?
Also Wicked and Licorice look great! Ahhh, I'm an Essie fan :)

I've always wanted to rock black nail polish!! I think my problem is that it would always take 3-4 coats to make it black! I have to try the Essie ones! Maybe they will work on 1-2 coats! =)
