The Art of Plating

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Do you know that expression eat with your eyes? Well, till now I always thought it was just a saying, but according to a study from the Crossmodal Research Laboratory at the University of Oxford, we actually do eat with our eyes.

The study proved that people in general enjoy and are drawn towards meals that look pretty and are presented in an artful form. It’s not a surprise that in today’s world visually focused food is a preference, especially when the food itself looks like those dishes above. Every single one of them is an actual meal available at some of the world’s top restaurants.

My goodness, aren’t they pretty? And who said chefs are not artists?

P.S: Veggie art and the French cuisse.
P.P.S: The art of food grouping.

They are almost too pretty to eat

Just beautiful!!!! And it totally makes a difference to take that little extra time and care. When we have friends over for dinner, my husband is such the perfectionist to how the food looks on the plate. xo, Katie
