"Before steel, before oil, before cars or guns or Coca-Cola, there was tea - one of civilization’s first truly global commodities, as well as one of its most enduring and beloved."
Whether you're a tea drinker or not, we all love to indulge in a cuppa from time to time, don't we? It's more than just drinking a hot beverage, it's the whole comforting ritual of sitting down, slowing down and taking in the aroma. Each time I visit my mom in England, she always makes a point of going for a proper tea and though I'm not a huge tea drinker myself, I see the beauty, the elegance and the tradition in it.
Recently, CNT created a stunning series of tea rituals around the world (with amazing descriptions) showcasing its history. Just looking at those images above make me want to start drinking tea more often...
Do you drink tea? Which is your absolute favourite?
P.S: How-to 3-ingredient Vietnamese Longan tea.
P.P.S: Vanilla infused tea and coffee and those awesome blooming teas.

Lovely, so far I only drink green tea or white tea on occasion but I might need to explore more. Jill
These photos are amazing, my favourite tea is chamomile.
Gorgeous pictures! I love that people all around the world sit down to tea rituals. I love a nice mug of chamomile before bed. Now that it's getting chillier out, I'll be drinking a lot more tea for sure. I like dessert teas like pumpkin pie or chocolate peppermint, which is a nice treat with way fewer calories!
As a tea lover, this was really delightful to see. I really like how tea drinking is elevated to an art through these rituals.
How lovely! I drink at least 1 cup of tea a day, more as it cools off. I love a good strong cup of hot earl grey with a bit of sugar and milk.
Love these! I have been an avid tea drinker for years. One day I'd love to travel the world trying teas.
Marieken, I love chamomile tea:)
Jill, chocolate peppermint sounds so good:)
