Here is a quick and very easy trick to make your home smell incredible in literally 5 minutes:
Put two caps full of vanilla extract mixed with a dash of water in a candle diffuser and within a few minutes your whole house will smell like homemade vanilla cake. Also, if you don’t own a diffuser, you can instead place the extract-water mix in an ovenproof dish and place it in the oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. It works exactly the same!
Balazs and I’ve been using this little trick whenever our friends come over or when we just want to make the space feel a dash cozier while working at home. Plus, everyone who comes by keeps on saying how amazingly snug our flat smells. Try it! It's so lovely and you probably have a bottle of vanilla extract at home already. xo

love this! vanilla is one of my favorite home scents and i usually just by those vanilla was melts. i will definitely be trying this tonight.
I do something similar - but I put herbs/vanilla/dried lavender in a small pot, cover with water, and put over a stove burner, with the heat at the lowest setting possible.
