12 Years and Counting...

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

This upcoming Easter Sunday it happens to also be Balazs' and mine 12-year anniversary. Yup, 12 years ago on April 20th everything changed! Looking back at the last 12 years, I can’t help but smile. So many coffee dates, scrambled egg breakfasts, 3 flats, 2 adorable dogs, countless adventures, bag full of stories and he still looks in my eyes like that evening on the dinner party 13+ years ago. So since our anniversary is on the same day as Easter this year, we will be celebrating a day later with Italian food and wine – nothing fancy, just how we like it! It always amazes me how time flies...I still feel 19 but I guess that is a good thing:)

So, now your turn, I would love to know about you and your husband/boyfriend/partner. How many years have you been together? How did you meet? How do you like celebrating your anniversaries? xo

P.S: Love at first sight?
P.P.S: What's your stand on marriage?

Congratulations, Diana!! Toby and I have been together for 12 years as well. We met at a party. I invited a co-worker to come along and he asked if he could bring a friend. The friend was Toby. Soon as he walked in the room, I was smitten and knew I was going to be with this man. I never had that feeling before. Our celebrations are pretty low-key. Generally a nice dinner out, maybe take the day off work together and just be lazy and spend time with one another. -Katie

Congratulations! What a great weekend to celebrate your commitment to one another! My husband and I are about to celebrate our One Year in June. We 're planning a trip to Quebec City in August, which will be so nice to get away and travel again together.

Congrats Diana - wishing you both a lifetime of happiness. My husband and I met 16 years ago. He was picking up my neighbour who went to the same school as he did for a night out with other friends. She asked me to come along & well the rest is history :)We were friends for about 10years before we starting dating & got married.

Well let's see....The Fella and I met 11 years ago when we were both in Scotland on working holiday visas. We were friends for 8 years, then tried to date long distance and it was disastrous. A year later we tried again, but not long distance, and now it's been over a year and a half and we're living together and planning our second overseas trip together. x

WOW! 12 years :) Wonderful. We just reached 2 years in February. We met online and then in a quirky bar and hit it off right away. We like to celebrate anniversaries (and anything really) with a weekend trip away from London. x
