If you need a bit of easing into the cold January, you should check out those cool little traditions Kinfolk wrote about. The team asked a few families from around the world to share their quirks and rituals for a happy New Year. In Sri Lanka for example, Juliet always eats curry with rice on New Year's day as it’s believed to entice bad spirits out of their bodies. My favourite is Joanna’s Korean tradition of spending the first day of the year with the whole family eating dumpling soup, playing yutnori and chatting away. Balazs and I also have a little tradition that we started when I met Balazs in Budapest all those years ago. Ever since our first New Year together, Balazs hunts down a little porcelain piglet to give me on New Year's Eve, as it brings good luck for the upcoming year. Do you have any of those little New Year's traditions that you believe in?
So happy to be back to regular schedule! Missed you:) xoxo
P.S: Two more posts are coming up today!
