Hank Bought a Bus (and travels the country)

Monday, October 7, 2013

Could you live in a bus while traveling the county? Well, not any bus, a school bus that was fully redesigned and repurposed into a living and working environment. Hank Butitta is the guy behind this cool little adventure project. It all started with his final assignment at architecture school. He weighed a few options but in the end he took the plunge and bought an old yellow school bus from Craigslist. In a matter of 15 weeks he rebuilt it into a modern and comfortable living space. Best part? Hank and his pal Justin Evidon are right now on a 5,000-mile journey around the country to see how it holds up. Every few cities they have a little stop-over to pick up their friends and family to join them for a ride to their next destination.

Those photos make me daydream about a great road trip adventure. Wouldn’t that be fun? xo

P.S: Coffee on wheels and super cozy Catskill.
P.P.S: Plus, Chicago by boat.

I love the idea of it, so romantic! Although I think a bumpy bus might lead to a little car sickness for me :)
