So last week, in hopes to make my friends realize that simple pleasures, like flowers are important, I got them each, one peonie and an old wine bottle (from my home). It totally made their day and they are hooked.
So, darlings, since I can’t give you all a flower, how about one day this week, on the way from work, you treat yourself to one of your favourite flowers. Just one! Promise, it will feel amazing :) Ah, the little things in life. What do you say? Do we have a deal? xo
P.S: Oh, don't forget this trick!

I never thought about getting just one flowers before. I like that idea a lot since I'm one of those people who has a very hard time spending on flowers or little treats. But, gosh they make me so happy when I do. Cheers, Grace
Beautiful idea. I love doing this as a gift to friends too - so thoughtful! Thanks for sharing :)
Love this idea and the look of a single flower, sometimes even more attention calling than a bouquet!
super cute idea! - i may just do that!!
You are sooooo right! A fresh flower really makes a big impact. And just one dainty one is not expensive at all! I think it's so sweet you gave them to your friends. They are lucky to have you! I need to go fetch me a stem this week after work. :)
Super duper cute!!
I love that, Grace. You should totally treat yourself to your favourite one today. Yay!

Oh you are so right about that, holtkamp!!!

i used to really dislike the idea of receiving flowers, never minded giving them, but as i'm older and have my own place...i appreciate the beauty fresh flowers bring to a space. but buying myself a flower or two is seriously a great idea. think i'll do that today!! xoxoxo
What a beautiful and wonderful idea! I think I'm going to go get a big chrysanthemum. I just love those! =)

what a beautiful idea! I must do that this week!
Diana, you say it so well! I'm committed now to go and pick a flower when I'm out with my son this week and come back to put it in the Coke glass-turned-bud vase on my bedroom dresser. Thanks for the pick-me-up!
Such a lovely idea - and displaying them in jam jars looks really sweet too!
That is wonderful, Ethaney :)
Chrysanthemums are lovely, indeed, Chloe!
