A few weeks ago, Gemma and Chris woke up in NYC, got ready,
took a cab to the city hall and got married on a beautiful summer day which happens
to be the longest day in the year as well. I just love the relaxed look of
Gemma’s side braid with a breezy summer dress. They both look totally relaxed
and over the moon happy, don’t they? Congrats! Darlings, would you ever consider
getting married in a city hall? Where did you get married? xoP.S: And a few more NYC I do's.
P.P.S: Plus, tons more amazing weddings:)

diana, I missed your posts yesterday. Glad to have you back. The bride looks very pretty in that dress. Cheers, Grace
i got married in a city hall, although had a VERY wedding dress.:) No matter the place, it's just the reason important, ture affection and the atmosphere. Many spectacular or majestic weddings sadly are not followed (or not even preceded) by 'happily ever after'. This photos show true love, though!
Looks lovely. I love the casual hessian carrier bag in the shot...like it was just another day out.
That's so sweet.
We also got married at City Hall (in Toronto) and then we had another ceremony in my parents' backyard.

We got our marriage license there, but got married at The Players Club in Gramercy Park
Joe and I tassel at the idea - big or small - silent or loud - we have no 'plans' - were pretty spontaneous people - so who know's - but i doubt i'd go the city hall way
*Much Bliss*

Love her braid. Such a cute wedding.
Love her braid. Such a cute wedding.
Love her braid,
it was simple and yet so lovely.
Grace, thank you:) I missed you all too! Glad to be back. xoxo
Dominika, I agree! It's all about the atmosphere. Btw: so true, they look totally in love...
Totally, Tracey! And Natasha, sounds lovely:)
Oh my goodness I love them! That's something I think would be so romantic to do! Our friends went to Paris and said their vows to each other in a sweet little park - hired a photographer and everything. Then came back and got married at City Hall....so sweet I think.
ADORABLE.
thats really cute. I thought about doing this but I just couldnt shake my desire for a formal ceremony and reception.
Aww..boy, that is totally amazing:) Paris is perfect for it, isn't it, Alexa? Btw: Our friend got married in Paris as well (3 years ago). It was the most magical night ever.
When it is love, it doesn't matter how or where you do it all that matters is the love you share.
We got married in a simple ceremony in a garden here in Vegas...definitely NOT what you think of when getting married in Vegas.
Simple sweet and a few friends and family.
I never understood the BIG ta-do of a wedding, why would you want to start your new life out in a huge debt and stress????
Amy
This is so understated and simple. I love this! When I plan to get married (far, far in the future), I would just love something carefree and small. Maybe just in a city hall or something seclusive like the country with just the two of us and strangers as witnesses!
Adore them! Its funny, I just did a post on reasons why to get married at the courthouse/city hall. I think its great for anyone looking for a small, intimate gathering or for a couple on a budget, or one who just wants to be married already and has been together for a long time. Its very romantic! <3
awww, what a simple and beautiful wedding! :)

So cute :) My parents got married at city hall.
That is a very good point, Amy. I love small and tiny ceremonies. They feel incredibly emotional and personal.
Pier 39 Prep, your ideas sound so beautiful.
