Five Olympians and Their Diets

Darlings, are you planning on watching the London Olympics this July? With the starting date so close and the pressure of competing growing, photographer Umit Bektas wanted to give us a sneak peak into how the Turkish Olympians are getting ready for the competition. As much as the physical part is important, those five athletes show us that their eating habits are crucial as well. They are on a very strict plan of between 1500 to 3500 calories a day. How impressive, isn’t it? One of the girls drinks up to 5 liters of water each day to stay on her target - incredible! Are you into sports? xo

I'm not into watching sports, really, though I will watch ice skating and gymnastics sometimes... I am no stranger to drinking 4-5 liters of water a day, but I find it very interesting that they all drink that much and yet their diets are so different!

There's definitely something to be said about replicating their choices. Maybe not so much food, but definitely all of the fresh, natural items.

I should take notes but instead I'll let the athletes do the good work and I'll eat my desserts while watching the Olympics in supporting them.

Oh I'm certainly looking forward to the Olympic Games! and particularly this week, because of Wimbledon...my boys and hubby are tennis players themselves so, this month it will be sports overdose at home, thankfully I love it!!!
3500 calories a day...without chocolate or alcohol...and five liters of water! ...my, my you need to be trained to actually eat and drink all of it in just one day!!

Oh my,
I can't eat have of what they're eating...
but I guess I don't burn as much calories as they do.
