When flavours collide

Tuesday, May 8, 2012
Have you ever roasted strawberries before? How about putting them between two slices of fresh bread with some brie and dark chocolate? Admittedly, I was a bit reluctant, but I have to say, I totally fancy the pants off this sandwich.  It’s like a French toast meets grilled cheese sandwich in the most mind blowing way. Jessica, you are a genius! (Full recipe here).

Loves, would you try it? What’s the most unexpected flavour combination you ever tasted? xo

OMG! I really enjoy mixing flavors like that. We often cook meat with plums and brie always goes well with sweets. Trying it today. Thank you, Grace.

Oh dear, I'm all over this. It looks amazing. I like to put cream cheese and sliced strawberries on my toast but this is a whole level up from that!

I roasted some strawberries and drizzled some reduced balsamic vinegar on top. It was so interesting and I'm definitely going to be doing some exploring with that. But this? This looks amazing!

Not too early at all, Tasia:))) And Jeanette, right? You should also try rocotta and blueberries when they are in season. Yum!!!

HOLY MOLY I simply CANT wait to try this recipe, it looks beyond delicious.... utterly brilliant flavor combo... Lately I've been enjoying this smoothie combo of flavors:
soy (almond) milk
frozen pineapple, banana and mango
avocado
splash of flax and/or hemp seeds
dash of coconut...

Like a healthier pina colada!

Oh yum, your smoothie sounds so delicious, tutusandtea!!
