Last night while having dinner at our local hummus bistro I got totally distracted by the girl at the next table. She wore a very simple tunic-like black dress, low ponytail and chrome colour nails. I’ve seen that shade used on toes before but never on fingers and it looked oh-la-la beautiful! Of course the girl noticed me staring (go figure), so I awkwardly blurted out how much I like her nails. Btw: the colour she wore was from the latest Essie collection 'mirror metallics'. I found it in Target this morning; it’s called 'no place like chrome'. Bingo!
Loves, have you worn chrome or silver colour before? Would
you? xo

Love this as well! Might try to find some today. No Targets in London unfortunately but I shall track it down :)
I wanted to like it. I even gave a bottle away on my blog last year. I think I'm just too pale for it because when I see it on people who don't have albino skin like me, I do like it.
Stunning!
Oooo LOVE!
Me wants! ME ME ME!
They look great!

love them!!
LOVE! I bet it looks awesome on you.
The ring in the photo looks like one my parents bought me but mine has a yellow sapphire in the middle so it looks like a daisy.
Have a nice Thursday!
the thought of wearing something really simple and then the chrome nails appeals to me. although i cant imagine having a ton of flashy things on and topping it off with those.
i would give it a go.
Little London Observationist, I think you can find a similar shade from "Butter".
Giggle, Ana:)
HiLLjO, aww thanks, sweetie! And your ring sounds beautiful:)
I want this! How cool!
Elizabeth, totally agree. I think it looks best paired up with something simple and understated.
heading there now ;)
Amy
what a great color! i have nails (at the moment) and am obsessed with keeping them painted so i don't rip them off!
Love this!
I love it!
I think i'm gonna buy it right now, hehehe.
Chic on the Cheap
Awesome, Amy:)
LyddieGal, fantastic!
I'm in love! But how are the nails in these pics so shiny? The color swatches I've seen online are no where near being this shiny! I've been gunning for this mirror like chrome look got quite some time!
Metallic silver is my signature nail color. If I want to go really extravagant, I'll put a coat of glitter polish over it. It adds extra dimension to it and is just sparkly and fun. I love it.
Anonymous, that sounds lovely and what a great idea:)
I was wondering about the "mirror" look as well. My polished nails aren't as shiny.
How did you get your nails so shiny?
What is this actually called so i can order it off ebay??
OK, so I bought this and painted my toe nails...they are not mirrored, they are metallic grey. Am I not doing it right?
How do you get your nails so shiny because that particular color doesn't look as shiny in person. its more like a dull gray and less mirror like yours
I saw this nail polish the first in the movie "The Counselor"...The stunning Cameron Diaz was wearing it. It looks very Hollywood!!! Love it! I will be looking for it. Thanks.
As you can see under the post, these pics were not hers and we're taken from another blog. Which means they are probably not even done with the same nail polish. Hence the lack of mirrored chrome finish when you use the "No Place Like Chrome" polish. I've seen the mirrored finish done with foil appliqués, but not polish. I'd advise getting those for the best results.
I have had a manicure just like this before but it was a set of Minx nail wraps. I work for Sephora and I have NEVER seen a polish with that kind of opacity and shine before. My professional (albeit unasked for) opinion is that it is some kind of wrap. Sally Hansen and OPI both make great sets.
