Lolly

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

Crikey, this morning I woke up to a whopping 80 degrees and blue skies. Summer is finally in full swing, so I’m thinking about making my first batch of ice lollies before the madness of the day. Nothing fancy, just some cut up fruits mixed with lemon or lavender water – refreshing, healthy and satisfying. Yum!

Darlings, what’s your favourite take on lollies? xo

P.S: And those especially for grown-ups!

I'm now forced to seek out a popcycle maker and buy something to make lollies all summer. Thanks... thanks for that. ;-)

Holy Summer! 80! WOO! These would be great today. Yummy! I think I'd make strawberry and mango lollis with orange juice around the fruit.

I haven't made lollies since my daughter was little - and never this healthy or delicious sounding. Lavender water? Sounds divine!

It's super easy, Tiffany and Jeanette, lavender water adds that extra refreshing flavour to the mix. It's really lovely.

Where can we find the recipe?

Diana Mieczan said...

Anonymous, there is no real recipe to it. It's simply cut up fruits that you like mixed with lemon water or lavender water. Hope that helps.

Btw if you want a recipe for lavender water, here it is:

In a large saucepan, bring one gallon of water and 2 cups of sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and add 7 lavender sprigs to it. Then add 2 cups of fresh lemon juice. Cool to room temperature and mix with fruits for the lollies.

Let me know if you would like the lemon water recipe as well:)
