Home Inspiration: Cookbook Shelves

Thursday, May 3, 2012

I read cookbooks like others read novels! Our friends and family knows pretty well by now that if they want to get me something I'd love - it's always a cookbook or food related type of book (like this one). Sadly they are stuck on a shelf (with sticky patches) all squeezed between a honey bowl, coffee cups and a flour jar. I've been thinking about displaying them in a cool way for a while, but time wasn’t on my side so far. Nevertheless, here are a few of my inspirations for a beautiful cookbook shelf.

Loves, do you use cookbooks? Where do you store them? Do you have a cookbook shelf in your kitchen? Would you like to have one? xo

P.S: I also love open kitchen shelves and food walls:)
P.P.S: Stay tuned for 10 cookbooks that rock my world right now! And check out Nigella's home library below - swoon-worthy, isn't it?

I love cookbooks!! I just can't get enough :) But i don't keep them in the kitchen because of the grease from the frying pan etc (not the best explenation, sorry! My english is so bad ... :))

I keep them in the office, next to the kitchen :)

Wish you a great thursday!

I get given cook books as presis but rarely folllow a recipe properly.....use them more as inspiration with what's in the fridge.....but I have now adopted a stacking system more for aesthetic reasons than practical...!!

I adore cookbooks, especially cupcake books! I am no room for them so I'm thinking of doing a cookbook shelf just for them! Thanks for the inspiration!!

My jaw completely dropped with this post. I love books, and books in the kitchen is just the topping on the ice cream. I wish I had space to do this. Maybe in our next home. Books are so important, they are a lifeline to me.

I was a cookbook addict for years but not so much anymore. I got rid of all but about 6 of my favorites. I find I often go to the internet for food inspiration/recipes now.
I keep them in the cupboard.

I DEFINITELY need a better cookbook shelf. I almost threw my books out because I have so many of them and they're just sitting there. Now I want a whole new shelving unit for them.

Someone gave us a cookbook for our wedding...it only had my hubbys name on it, LOL
I don't cook, our cookbook(yes one) is put away in the highest cupboard out of reach. I have to say it is nice to have in that very rare instance on a winters day I want to cook a real meal.

My mom is the same way. She has so so many cookbooks. Luckily I get to be her test subject when she tries out a new recipe.

Yes I have a special cute ill spot. I have them sit on each other, stand and sit, and I don't keep them all on the same shelf, but in same area. I'll blog a pic. on my space of my space. I made a binder of all my friend's special recipes. The ones they feel are their best. Thank you for sharing those amazing photos.
