Best Friends

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Are you still in touch with your childhood best friend(s)? I’ve always been a bit envious of Balazs and his childhood buddy with whom he still manages to keep a close touch with. Each time they meet, they kind of pick up from where they left off. On the other hand my oldest and best friend that I keep contact with is from 10 years ago. As a kid we moved tons of times around the world so I quickly learned how to make new friends. The thing that stayed with me is to always make an effort to have fun together. Nowadays, when I meet someone new I bake brownies, brew coffee and enjoy their company. xo

So darlings, I'd love to hear about your best friend. Who are they? How long have you been friends? Where did you meet and how? xo

P.S: Have you seen this film?
P.P.S: And dinner with friends:)

Diana I want you to make some brownies with coffee for me too. My bf is not my oldest one. I met Jill in my 2nd year of University. We somehow clicked and still talk daily on a phone and see eachother as often as we can. My oldest friend and I meet probably 3 times a year when we go back home to visit family. We are not too close but its nice to keep that childhood bond. Cheers, Grace.

I've been BF with with the same girl since the day I was born (almost 24 years ago!), our moms were best friends! My sister, her, and me are all best friends, she's basically like my other sister!

I am so lucky to still be friends with my childhood best-friend. We don't remember meeting, we were about 2, so we have been friends for over 30 years! Although we have moved to different states, that early bond has kept us close. In fact I am flying out to see her this weekend for Memorial Day. Like you said about your husband, we pick up right where we left off. It's actually pretty remarkable.

My best friend is my husband, but my oldest best friend growing up lives in town and we get together every few months for dinner and fun shenanigans. It's so nice to have her in my life.

My childhood best friend and I are still best friends! While we are long distance we communicate regularly and turn to each other first with exciting news, troubles, and questions. It's a blessing. While I am looking forward to making many new friends in my upcoming move and cultivating new relationships, Sarah will always be my bestie.

I've met my best friend as an adult, but I feel like I've known her all my life!

My childhood bestie and I are still really good friends! She's actually my cousins cousin, but not my cousin by blood! We've known each other since I was born. She's a year older then me. We make sure to see each other at least a couple times a year, which is fairly easy, as we only live 4 1/2 hours apart.

I've had the same friends since elementary school and I agree...we can totally pick up where we left off when we get together, even if it's been a few months or a few years. Such is the beauty of true friendship! xoxo

p.s. did someone mention brownies? :)

I have a couple of groups of "best friends," but the one I've known the longest is my cousin. We were born 11 days apart and have been friends our entire lives! I still keep in touch with friends from high school and college, and I've been friends with my husband since we were 12 years old!

I was sort of friends with a girl at high school but we became BF's after school only. It's now 12 years later and she lives in the States and I live in South Africa but she still knows me the best

I have three good friends (can't pick a 'best') and everytime I meet with each one, we pick up from where we left off. I am also going to see 'Friends with kids' so I can't wait.
