The Pyjama Pants: Thumbs up or down?

Monday, March 26, 2012

I recently read that if you’re planning on embracing the relaxed feel this spring/summer it should be with pyjama pants. I have a striped pair that I bought ages ago (way before they were trendy) and they are my favourite summer running-around-the-city pants. They are surely comfy, and when styled right, they can look super snazzy, don't you think?

Here is a tip from Red mag: for a polished look, always wear a pair of wedges with your pyjama pants. Higher the better and they will make your legs look super long as well.

Lovelies, would you try this look? Or you think that pyjamas should not see the daylight? Let’s chat. xo

P.S: If you fancy a pair here are a few that you might like. Did you know that even Hanneli is loving the look?
P.P.S: And the awesome animal instinct trend!

hmmm...I don't know. I think it'll depend on the fabric & print choice. I feel weird as it is going to the bagel shop in the morning in PJ pants, I don't know I can do it to work....

I love the wide leg comfy pant,
I just don't think I could rock the ones that really look like jammies.
I would be so uncomfortable, like I was just out of bed on the way home from a sleep over.
I must wear flats with mine, even though these pants tend to be yards long, my legs are still longer, lol

I like pj pants, but I don't particularly like any of these in the pictures. The first ones look quite nice, and the girl next to the bike. However, I think they just look silly teamed with an oversized blazer or coat - they should be a summer thing. And I like the ones that taper slightly at the bottom x

You wouldn't catch me dead in these... but that's just me.

Some of these photos are styled extremely well and some are... not.

Oh I can't do them in public. Haha. Hats off to those who can though.

The 4th picture and the last picture really do look like PJs otherwise it's a do! I guess the key is to either wear the top or the bottom, but NOT both! Also you have to be very thin to pull this off...like most odd trends!

Gotta say, thumbs down. Sometimes fashion is so silly and this is one of those times.....

these ladies look pretty cute, but my vote is to keep your pjs in your bedroom!

Ooh I unfortunately have to vote Thumbs Down. This is one of those pieces only one body type can wear, and if that.

never thought I would say NO, but I cannot ever wear anything like this!

they may be really comfortable but for the average person I think this look should stay at home.

Those comments are brilliant. I love all your points of view:)

Josie, I think that too. It's probably much easier to style this look if you wear one or the other (the top or the bottom). Great point!
