Love Ever After

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Crikey, how sweet are those couples? Lauren Fleishman is the photographer behind this heartwarming series of New York couples who have been together for more than 50 year. After her grandfather's death, she found a bunch of love letters he wrote to her grandma during World War II and that inspired her to create a diary with love stories of couples who truly know a thing or two on the subject as they have been together forever. Such a beautiful project on what makes love last!

That is the dream, isn’t it? How long have you been together with your boyfriend/husband? xo

Darling, wish you a smoochy, hug-ilicous and truly magnificent Valentine’s Day. However you celebrate it, have a beautiful one! xo

P.S: This project totally reminds me of my grandparents who celebrated 65 years together just a few months ago!
P.P.S: Here you can read the little stories about each of those couples.

(Thanks, Nicole)

sigh, so sweet. I always dream that "our" love story will end up something like The Notebook, b/c I don't think I could live a day without my Kevin.

This made me so emotional and happy! I love my hubby; we've been together, best friends, for almost 5 years. When we got married last June we actually found that we shared the mutual goal of this and dream of something like your grandparents. Good for them, and good for all of us who have love and those yet to find it.

This is so sweet. Once I saw an old couple walking through the zoo holding hands in that moment that's what I knew that I wanted to strive to be when I am older.
