Ballerinas

Monday, November 21, 2011

The other day I spotted those photographs of Janie Taylor and Justin Peck and I can't get over how beautifully romantic they are! Both dance for the New York City Ballet. The images were captured as part of last spring's ballet-inspired Chloé collection. They express undeniable strength and tell a story with their breathtaking movements! Even The New York Times compared the beautiful Janie to Grace Kelly, and described her beguiling beauty as otherworldly and Hitchcockian. Just looking at those photos, it’s easy to see why.

The most fascinating thing about this short is that normally we only see ballerinas from the front, while in this case the director's vision was to show the dancers from every angle, creating a really unique viewing experience. Love! Do you like ballet? xo

P.S: Desperately perfect.
P.P.S: Ballerina's legs.

Yes - really beautiful. My daughter is a ballerina, so I'm biased, but I think they're the most beautiful dancers ever!

My daughters friend is a ballerina and she is so tiny but with such muscle. What it takes to look so smooth and elegant.
