The perfect bun trick!

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

I've always wondered why my French bun isn't as full as on the top photo. I have pretty thick hair but something didn't quite work. So you can imagine my excitement when Liz did a post on how to do a perfect bun using a sock. I kid you not! I tested it this morning and it works! I feel like a French girl sporting my oh-la-la sock bun. Darlings, will you try it? Have you already? xo

I've heard tell of the sock bun but I've never tried it :) Really clever idea (though I have so much hair that I probably don't need a sock :)

That is pure genius! I'm going to test it out... my hair is super thin, so this just might do the trick!

what a clever trick. I just need to track down a sock that matches my hair

Diana Mieczan said...

Amber, the sock doesn't show as you cover it with your hair.

Diana Mieczan said...

It will for sure, Vanessa. Let me know how it went:) And Di, me too. I really love that bow. Very sweet.

Sorry if this is already in the comments above, but it works better if you bring the sock to the end of your hair and roll it outwards, bringing your hair around it towards the head.
