How to make nut milk

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Do you drink milk? The other day I stumbled upon Sarah's post on how to make nut milk and I got super excited, as lately I don't drink the dairy because of my allergy. The recipe sounds pretty easy and the video is super cool! You just need a bunch of different nuts, water, a blender and a strainer - that is it! Sarah also recommends to flavour it with vanilla, raw honey, agave, or dates for a bit of sweetness. Darlings, doesn't that sound delicious? Have you ever done nut milk before? Would you? xo

I bet this taste great, esp with adding honey. This would be a great way to get kids to drink their milk too! :) Hope you had a great weekend.

I have recently discovered almond milk. Low in carbs and great for my protein shakes in the morning.

The recipe looks easy but I think I'll stick to just buying it. :)

I tried making almond milk once and it was so sweet and delicious.... I should really try that again, or some of these other interesting options.

Speaking of making things with nuts.... I soaked cashews and make a dairy-free roasted red pepper soup last night. I was so surprised how delicious it was! I got it from this book ... http://www.amazon.com/3-Day-Cleanse-Drink-Fresh-Skinny/dp/0446545716! If you want the recipe just let me know and I will post it!
